Thanks Paul for bringing this video to a wonderful Rock Star and he seemed like a very nice person Thanks again Paul
ОтветитьRip
ОтветитьThanks Paul.x
ОтветитьHe was and still is my hero. Have followed Quo since 1975 until now. He was a huge important part of my life.
ОтветитьWhen I was a Veterinary Nurse back in the eighties I met Rick Parfitt when he brought in his latest Samoyed pup, I just said Hello he's sweet, to that he picked the pup up on his hind legs and said just look at this belly I squealed in delight at the fat tummy of the pup. I found him to be a really nice guy and very down to earth and was sad to hear about his passing 😢
ОтветитьLe meilleur guitariste rythmique du monde❤
ОтветитьMiss him so much 😢 When i was 11 years old i opened the Blue for you Cover and saw this wild Boy in his Coca Cola shirt, i was lost ❤ I had the pleasure to met him many Times and he was always friendly and have fun. To stand in front of him when he was playing it was pure energy. When we flight back in 2016 from Liverpool to Dortmund we heard the bad news😢 Christmas will never be the same. Thank you so much ❤ Tommy & Manu
ОтветитьAlways Classy, They Were involved with Coles Supermarkets in a series of ads promoting the Down Down price campaign, Rick and Francis Hammed it up 😂 and introduced themselves to the next generation to thier Back Catalog 😊
ОтветитьNice job sir.......Rick was great.....❤
ОтветитьThank you
Ответитьanother great vidoe paul thks and rip rick
ОтветитьLoved Status Quo great music , thank you for the videos
ОтветитьPaul. Thank you for what you do. The layout of the Cemetery is Fantastic, all the flowers and all the other thing's that are planted, I give top Mark's too the Ground's men. Rick was a true Legend in his own right, and a man who lived life too the full, The Rick for your contribution in Status Quo.
ОтветитьHe drove a modest Mercedes which was not at all flashy. (possibly he might have owned a few more Cars).
He didn’t have a big ego, but a big sense of humour.
He was sometimes spotted browsing at the Southampton Boat Show.
Everyone loved dear Ricky🙏
ОтветитьPure Gold.
Ответитьshould have been big in America too, a lot better than what the Yanks have to offer usually - apart from the greats.
ОтветитьI Love quo .
ОтветитьRip rick saw you live in holland
ОтветитьI saw a documentary about him recently. He came across as a friendly lovely guy RIP Rick
ОтветитьLoved Status Quo ...Beautiful Tribute Paul ...Beautiful Cemetery
ОтветитьFirst gig I ever went was the Quo. Grew up with and loved their music when i was a kid back in the 70's. And loved the music they were putting out in the 80's. Have said it so many times, we all owe so much to musicians like Rick - can't imagine a world without music. And here in the UK we have been blessed with the quantity and quality of musical talent that's come out of our small island nation over the last 50 or so years. Lovely to see you remembering Rick like this. Thank you.
ОтветитьI was shocked to learn of your stalker, keep going Paul, your channel has grown year by year, well done
ОтветитьThank you for such a lovely vlog Paul I’ve got one of his lyrics on my arm for my grandad as me and my grandad are very big fans of status quo but sadly I lost my grandad 3 years ago and our lyric to the song in the army now was STAND UP AND FIGHT will always be a very big memory of mine 😀
ОтветитьA great guitar player 👏 👌 bless him always thanks for another vlogg from.a humble utuber always 😊 get to American soon 😊you are a brilliant utube entertaining fans all over the world 🌎 thanks for your message l treasure it always so busy entertaining the world a royal Air force snd a humble medical worker and a great utuber and actor be blessed and happy always 😊
ОтветитьPaul, Fantastic episode on a true legend! Didn’t realise that his passing wasn’t recognised as much amongst others who passed at the same time. A tragic story of a life taken to soon because of a life style. Cheers mate. Bob
ОтветитьThank you for doing this video. Rick is my lifetime hero and as you rightly pointed out I don't think he received the recognition he deserved at the time of his passing, very sad. Still missed Ricky! ✌️🎸
ОтветитьGreat video Paul . I've seen the quo many many times always great rock n roll .
ОтветитьRe Carrie Fisher, her mother, actress Debbie Reynolds, died the day after her (28/12/2016), Seth MacFarlane don't a tribute to Carrie Fisher on an opening episode of Family Guy using Peter Griffin's character
ОтветитьHi Paul. Hope you and Mildred are doing well.
On a music theme I was wondering if you thought of visiting the final resting place of Ian Curtis from Joy Division? I’d love to see your tribute.
grew up with Que they really did rock all over the world
ОтветитьSaw quo last year in Brighton. They were good but it's not the same without Rick.
ОтветитьRemember seeing Status Quo in Southampton around '77ish .... Best Concert EVER! .... i had a Mate who was NOT! a Quo fan - and several years later His Missus was dragging him to a Quo Gig local to Us .... He was NOT! a happy bunny .... I told him it'd be the BEST night of his Life!! - He gave Me 'The LOOK' ...... But when I saw him a few days later - He Said! - "You're Right!" .... Couldn't stop going on about it .... They get a LOT of Flak from Rock/Pop Snobs .... But for SHEER Value-For-Money they ain't gonna be BEAT! 😎
ОтветитьI packed his bags for him in the 80s when I worked at Safeway in Ross on Wye, absolutely lovely fella - gave me a £5 tip too which was serious money for me back then. Nice chap.
ОтветитьNice tribute to Rick
ОтветитьMy friend and I went to see them about 10 years ago in Adelaide. I wasn't prepared for the audience being mainly long haired middle-aged guys with jeans, black t-shirts playing air guitar! From the first guitar chord the crowd leapt to their feet and never sat down again. The Quo were excellent, rocked the venue along with good banter inbetween tracks, their guitar skills were effortless, the energy in the room amazing, a night never to forget 🎸
ОтветитьGreat thanks for remembering Richard
ОтветитьGreat video. And definitely right about 2016 being the year that took a lot of celebrities. Alan Rickman was especially a sad one. Would it be possible to do a video on him soon?
Ответитьshame anyone has no memorial at all. It’s also nice to have a blue plaque but on the side of a non descript building ? instead of a relivent location. Early Quo were a power band. Later versions were tame in comparison.
ОтветитьHow did they get away with it for 50years three cords every song the same multi million ayres , and you will have people saying that they were better than led Zeppelin pink Floyd and others good god
ОтветитьIt was upsetting for me whan Rick parfitt die R.I.P Rick ❤😢
ОтветитьA lovely tribute to a great guitarist and entertainer. RIP Rick Parfitt 🌠
ОтветитьI love status quo but it's not the same now Rick isn't there ❤
ОтветитьRick was and always will be a big part of my life for many reasons. i obviously didn't know him personally but his music had such an impact on many people. i know that i am definitely not the only person that cried when he died. i have been a big fan of his my entire life really due to my dad also being a fan and the only memories i have of my dad involve Status Quo so Rick and the band will always have a special place in my heart. i also agree that his passing was overlooked and you've really done his fans proud by making this video so thank you.
ОтветитьIs that the guy out of spinal tap? Stonehenge
ОтветитьThank you for this video, Paul. My dad was a Quo fan, so I have fond memories of listening to Quo while growing up. At my dad's funeral in 2008, we had "Rockin' All Over the World" played. So again, thank you.
What a nice crematorium as well.?
Whats been your Favourite Cemetery you have visited would you say?
Thanks so much for this video, Rick was a fabulous guitarist and really made the instrument talk to his listeners and fans.
Some of the very best rock ever came from Ricks harp and we are totally indebted to him for the great sound of Status Quo. RIP Rick, you have left the stage mate but still thrilling so very many!
I was not a fan of their music. Had to endure a concert once with an ex.That being said he sounds like he was a nice man and it’s nice to read lots of positive memories of him.
ОтветитьLovely touching tribute Paul. I first knew Quo from, i think, 1974 watching them on TOTPs performing Paper Plane. Huge part of British rock history. Seeing him being carried in his coffin its hard to believe he's gone RIP Rick total legend
