NickRewind celebrated the 20th anniversary of SNICK (Nickelodeon’s defunct Saturday night block for older kids) in 2012 when it was known as The 90s Are All That, so it makes sense for them to follow that celebration up with a similar one for SNICK’s 25th anniversary in 2017, and that’s exactly what NickRewind did, back when it was known as NickSplat.
Just like last time they celebrated a SNICK-iversary, the block aired every series featured on SNICK’s inaugural line-up except Roundhouse, which they skipped over again in favor of airing a much more well-known live-action Nickelodeon series in its place. Thankfully, though, instead of airing the then-overplayed All That again like for the 20th anniversary of SNICK, NickSplat used the 25th anniversary of SNICK to broadcast a series that rarely airs on the block, The Adventures of Pete and Pete! Seriously, NickRewind should air that show again. It hasn’t aired on the block since!
Here’s a compilation of all the commercials and bumpers seen on NickSplat during its 25th SNICK-iversary marathon, which were taken during the following episodes:
*Clarissa Explains it All: “Alter Ego”
*The Adventures of Pete and Pete: “When Petes Collide”
*Are You Afraid of the Dark?: “The Tale of the Frozen Ghost”
*The Ren & Stimpy Show: “Jerry the Bellybutton Elf/Road Apples”
