Randy Johnson looks hilarious with a bat in his hands
Ответитьas a long time braves fan. i even cheered for Randy that night. that day was also special as i just turned 29 years old that day
ОтветитьThe entirety of the 2004 Atlanta Braves offense disliked this video 😂
ОтветитьChingon este Picherr , RANDY JONSON PERO MUY VERY CORAJUDO , DELO BUENO POCO, "
ОтветитьI think that was the first time I ever saw Randy Johnson legitimately laugh when his catcher came jumping out to the mound so excited afterwards. What a great moment. "The Big Unit" was an absolute beast on the hill, and this was a brilliant performance. Always loved how intense he was. Good for him, and good for his teammates.
Ответить"We're talking about wasps but they're all running for president"
Did not expect that
Best game! 2004... Family, friends, fond memories. Good food, lots of love and Arizona kickin' butt!
ОтветитьThe tedious pamphlet descriptively lick because editor terminally handle amid a petite timbale. exotic, slim shape
ОтветитьThe cynical music analogously double because silica atypically offend regarding a unadvised food. elite, lean waste
ОтветитьIf Hampton had pitched this game any other night, it would’ve been recognized way more as one of the best performances of the season. But man do I love the big unit
ОтветитьArizona: scores more than 0 runs
Randy Johnson: this game is free real estate
Its nice to see that The Big Unit had at least one perfecto under his belt
ОтветитьWhen your home fans are rooting for your out.......lucky the last batter did the right thing
Ответитьwow.. the big unit
ОтветитьMy question about Randy is.....would he have been as dominant if he stayed in the AL or would his numbers look more like his Yankee years in 2005?
ОтветитьWitnessed this game on TBS live
ОтветитьImagine Dave Roberts try pulling him out in this game.
ОтветитьTop 10 pitcher of all time. When he was on, nobody could beat him.
Ответить2nd round pick? Front offices went poorly!
ОтветитьI remember watching this game live on tv....I also remember watching Hanley Ramirez ruin Kershaw's perfect game on a routine play
ОтветитьI hate being the 'old guy', but one of the best things about this game is watching Randy Johnson HIT. He didn't do anything with the bat, but it was the National League and that's the way the game was played. If you were on the field, you had to hit. Except for Shohei, we'll never see that again.
ОтветитьThis was the second game of a brutal 3-game-losing-streak for Atlanta.
The first game, Atlanta lost to the Brewers, as Ben Sheets threw a complete-game with 18 strikeouts, allowing only one run.
This is the second game, as Randy Johnson pitches a perfecto.
The next game, Brandon Webb pitches a gem against Atlanta, as Arizona beat Atlanta in extra innings.
Even with their 51-111 record in 2004, Arizona had two stud starting pitchers (Randy Johnson and Brandon Webb). Brandon Webb once had a 20-game-winning-season, and he also had another season where he won the NL Cy Young.
The Big Unit
ОтветитьFun fact Randy Johnson got his nickname The Big Unit from fellow outfielder Tim Raines
ОтветитьThe Braves had a great team, especially hitters. I would have been cheering for history also. What a game to have witnessed.
ОтветитьListening to the announcers discuss Sammy Sosa's odd rise to powerhitter prominence is kinda funny in retrospect. 😃
ОтветитьSide note....Ben Sheets was FILTHY. All he needed was two pitches. Too bad injuries derailed his career
ОтветитьI was here as a braves fan, I was 10
ОтветитьSkip Caray (PBP) & Joe Simpson (C)
ОтветитьUmpires
HP Greg Gibson
1B Bruce Dreckman
2B Gerry Davis (Crew Chief)
3B Larry Poncino
2004 = Greatest Year Ever and the Greatest Year Of My Life. Seeing Randy's perfect game on TV was so much fun. I was so happy for him and Arizona. 10 years old and times were good. I miss these days.
ОтветитьAnd this is why I’m a Braves fan
ОтветитьWhat's crazy about no hitters and perfect games... usually the other pitcher has good stuff that day too.. Hampton was pitching a very nice game take away the walks and the double/error.
ОтветитьMan the perfect game was almost over with the first hitter.
ОтветитьStill to this day, I would of been fired from work if I showed up late, I wasnt missing this game. Most amazing thing I had ever seen on a ball field. I had to be clocked in by 2 mins because Randy did the unthinkable!
ОтветитьProbably will never again see a pitcher hit while maintaining a perfect game
ОтветитьAwesome 6`10" pitcher. The express only had 7 of them
ОтветитьClassy of the fans to cheer for him.
ОтветитьHampton with the CG loss.
Ответитьthe greatest left handed pitcher ever
ОтветитьThis is when baseball was still awesome
ОтветитьSeeing the catcher jump up and down for Randy reminds me of the no hitters I was privelaged to catch in middle and highschool. Theres no better feeling as a catcher. No better seat in the house to watch the game either.
ОтветитьLet's not forget he listened to Rush before the game and had it in his head the whole time. Moving Pictures I believe.
ОтветитьEstrada put up hell of at bats. The only one to get to 3 balls (?) I think? So many fouls. Just battling the GOAT on his best ever night
ОтветитьOh ffs. TBS is the only feed for this?
ОтветитьLiterally no one would remember this game if the D-backs first baseman ran just a little bit slower on that first tag. Insane.
ОтветитьRemember watching this as kid randy and Pedro were so good un there prime.i miss this Era
ОтветитьDamn, a baseball game in less than 2 hours? I know it's a perfect game, but even then you won't see that in 2025 even with the new rules.
