C8 ate a Ferrari! 😆. First Ford came after Ferrari with the GT40 and beat the pants off of them. Now it's Chevy's turn. This car was benchmarked against the Ferrari 458. Well done Chevy! It is a gift to car enthusiasts all over the world. I'm guessing it's been heavily subsidized. What they have accomplished for this price point is miraculous. Even loaded up at $100k what could you buy for this money? A 15-year-old Ferrari 360? Who would want it? Might be a game changer for the used supercar market. Chevy knows exactly what they are doing.
ОтветитьWhich 911 is this better than? For the price, it’s 5 year old 911 base.
ОтветитьToo funny seeing the car going down route 25 in Bridgeport CT!
ОтветитьSince the C4, Corvettes have almost always been the biggest performance bargains you could buy. Are there faster cars? Sure. Are there better handling cars? Very few. But finding a car that would outperform a 'Vette by even a little bit would generally cost twice what the Chevy cost.
ОтветитьGreat review Nick. C8 is world class and it's great to see such a beautiful car at a more affordable price point. The used 911 prices have hit the stratosphere.
ОтветитьGreat vid as always! Licence plate C88A4RE - C8 ate a Ferrari?

ОтветитьEver try taking a building down with a scalpel?
It can be done but it takes forever.
Nice to see this from a true Porsche fanboy. Sadly I don’t like the styling of the C8. I would want to compliment my mid engine 718 spyder with a front engine sexy C7 Z06!
ОтветитьThey look amazing. Good ole' American muscle.
ОтветитьIsn't the Corvette mid engine now not rear engine?
Ответитьcorvettes are designed for fun american style. . At one time top management got together and drove identical cars to see if they liked driving a push rod or overhead cam engine the best, choosing the immediacy of the push rod . I think Porsche would have left that decision to the engineers, a telling difference in the design philosophy between the two makes.
Good luck trying to get a corvette at the price price point mentioned, unless you want to get on a list and wait while they build loaded and more profitable models ahead of yours.
Amaizing car! Even much better value for money!
Ответить"Some C8 'Vettes have improperly made CV axles. Chevrolet is recalling examples of 2021 and 2022 Corvettes due to possible axle failure. The rear-drive axles might not have all of their respective ball bearings, which could result in the loss of drive power." That's one helluva value proposition...😆

ОтветитьC8 Ate A Ferrari...?
ОтветитьNow review the z06 ;)
ОтветитьThe mid-engine Corvette is the best value sports car money can buy. Looks way better than Porsches too. With a few tunes you can make it look like a halo car. The only cars that come close to it are Lambos and Ferraris. Chevy has knocked it out of the planet with this one.
ОтветитьLicense Plate: C88A4RE translation -- "C8 ATE A FERRARI", comes from a movie or 90210 TV show back in the 90s
ОтветитьGotta see you in a z06 Nick!
ОтветитьComplete waste of time. No useful information.
ОтветитьI took possession of my new C8 Z51 about 6 weeks ago. Same Hypersonic Gray outside, but black suede with Edge Red trim interior. This is my 5th Vette, going back to my '97 C5, '99 convertible 6 speed, to a '13 Grand Sport C6, to the last model '19 Grand Sport. As awesome as each was for its time, the C8 Z51 is exponentially superior in virtually every way. It is the easiest car to drive fast over any car I've ever driven. The interior quality is amazing, the exterior styling is exquisite, and the launch control will peel your face back. I loaded up the specs when I ordered it, so it came to about $92k MSRP, which fortunately was all I had to pay from a local dealer. ($98k out the door.) I can fit 2 sets of golf clubs in the trunk and a full airplane carry on in the frunk. Gas mileage is fairly decent, when my foot doesn't get too heavy. My insurance rates are reasonable, having a good driving history. I can't imagine how another $50k+ for a Z06, or another $100k+ for a 911 or even more for a Ferrari, McLaren, or a Lamborghini would be worth the premium over this car. At least not for my non-track purposes of a weekend cruiser and carver. I get there are a lot of them on the road at this point, but it still gets a boat load of compliments.
ОтветитьC8 ate a Ferrari 😂 what a legendary license plate
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks Nick
ОтветитьC88A4RE license plate means 'C8 ate a Ferrari'
ОтветитьThey are a super car 🎉
Ответитьits a real eye opener when 80 grand will get you a 2015 911 with 40,000 miles on it and no warranty vs a brand new c8 with z51 that will smoke a 911
Ответитьmaybe porsche needs to come out with a 8 cylinder cayman 718 instead of a stupid ev cayman
ОтветитьLove the location, Fall in Connecticut it doesn't get much prettier than that.
ОтветитьGrin factor at 11😂
ОтветитьLicense plate. C8 Ate a Ferrari
ОтветитьI just turned 9,000 miles in my C8 today. Love it.
ОтветитьGreat review that shows the sex of this model on the highway. I'll be having mine, in red, in December. I'll take my C08 Z51 over a fake 911 Cayman S any day!
ОтветитьLicense plate: c8 ate a Ferrari ?
ОтветитьEnyoyed your video review as it was more than fair.
I enjoy exotics, and one happens to be a 2018 991 GT3 in the garage. I actually bought a 2022 C8 Z51 with the track package as a surprise for my wife. It is the 3rd corvette she has had. Let me say she is really enjoying the C8.
I've driven it on several occasions and twice tracking her car (which is best way to enjòy snd really test the handling of this car). I was quite impressed. On a scale of 10 I will give it an 8, which for the price influenced thatvrating.
I actually took her to the Spring Mountain Motor Resort in Pahrump, NV to have some fun and really see its ability. Excellent experience and no surprise she ran circles around the other non professional driver's.
Since March of 2022 she has over 12k miles, is more than I have onb the 2018 911 GT3.
Remember a happy wife is a blessing!😊
fyi, from my understanding its not a pushrod anymore its dohc
ОтветитьAs a die hard Porsche fan for life, I have to admit I’ve shifted my focus to a corvette when my daughter is out of college. There is no comparison between the two for the dollars.
ОтветитьBoth great cars with racing history, no reason for people to argue about them
ОтветитьThe beige interior is not camel, they got that wrong.
ОтветитьGreat Review! Thanks!
ОтветитьColor?
ОтветитьC8 ate a Ferrari - nice!
ОтветитьWell done. Looks like a really nice car.
ОтветитьAn objective analysis from a man that can afford much more expensive cars. Thank you, and you earned a sub
ОтветитьThere's nothing to laught about this power combo. It's not terrying at all when dampered by so much weight NM.
What's terrifying is the painfull fealing when the engine has to move so much weight. It's suffering like an old slave.
So maybe that's what makes u laught ? Don't get it. World class handling ? Who are you, you want to make YT monkeys laught or what ?
Seems you never pushed that car too far.
Btw here's Google general prooved info about the Z8 Stingray :
"In general, the fatal accident rate for this Corvette is higher, as is the case with most sports cars. Therefore, you must think twice before buying this car."
So what u're telling people is just very very debatable NM. Sorry, but this kind of approximative and uninformed work looks very strange for the channel.
I love the way you laugh when you put your foot on the gas. Better than words
ОтветитьI traded in my Panamara for the C8 and I have never missed the Porsche, The Porsche GPS is designed for Germany NOT the US. I wish I had gotten the vette first. It ROCKS
ОтветитьAs someone that owns 2 Corvettes... 1970 and 2005.... Awesome ,,, but ,, Seems like a lot to go wrong.
