Charging speed?
ОтветитьWatching this I suddenly realised that the Buzz reminds me or the Renault Espace, somewhere between the original Espace and the Mk2.
ОтветитьIt really needs to be 1/2 the current price
ОтветитьAny chance the presenter could stand closer to the camera ?
ОтветитьIt's a bit smaller thany T6, so not enough room for my motorcycle. It's good that some items you put in the door storage are hidden. I dislike the grill at the front. Dark colours hide it, but I want a yellow Buzz.
ОтветитьEvery box ticked and then came the price! Great review as always. As I needed space / practicality and was lacking the ability to spend £70k I recently opted for a Peugeot eRifter, which does a lot of the same things (admittedly not the ‘being cool’ bits) and a few things better (eg ventilation in the back) but costs about half the amount.
ОтветитьCars used to make is poorer over time but now they can do it upfront! The buzz is certainly appealing as a cool looking family bus but price makes it a niche vehicle surely
ОтветитьGiven how well it will hold its value there should be good lease/PCP deals on this?
ОтветитьIs this a car that you fall in love with. I watch the review and think 30k interior tops, way over priced but then I haven't tried one in the real world and yes it's cool. It's at least 10k over priced though. But you would think if it's going to hold its value, then there should be good deals on monthly payments on one. Doesn't seem to be the case yet though
ОтветитьMy house is only worth £70k
ОтветитьMuch better car than any crappy Porsche
ОтветитьIf this was perfect you’d forgive the price to some extent - but the poor controls and no ventilation in the rear? Good luck taking the Fam on a summer road trip!
ОтветитьYou will not get to Cornwall in it
ОтветитьThis is VS trying to save its business
ОтветитьIt will be good when they have built enough EV factories to be able to spin them out at scale to lower the price probably be great in 5 years especially since battery tech will have also improved.
ОтветитьI wonder why NO mention of fire services all over the UK buying specialist equipment to extinguish the ever-increasing number of EV fires?
Apparently, some of these fires have been designated by insurers, as caused by design faults and claims have been refused.
Seems to me that many EV buyers have more money than sense, and fail to ensure that their insurance covers them for fire under ANY circumstances?
ID BUZZ 😳 couldn't they think of a better name
ОтветитьI hate them, they have killed the transporter. Rip transporter.
ОтветитьI like the ID 2 interior but this looks like an ugly toy car inside.
ОтветитьPeople who know nothing about the reality of owning EVs will buy it, drive it until they have had enough of the charging/range issue, that will become widely known and then sales will fall through the floor.
ОтветитьMax. 1000kg trailer weight is also a bit weak for a car like this... and with all the cargo volume - you can only stuff about 500kg in before you hit the allowed total weight limit.
I like the looks, despite never having been a VW fan, but after an ID.3 rental I'm not a fan of the infotainment, capacitive buttons etc. (though some of it will be a matter of just getting used to them).
Edit: Unless they beef up the max. total weight a bit, that is going to be a real issue for a 7-seat version...
I want one too! Mind you that’s so I can sell it at a Premium to someone I saw coming. It will sell out as VW will only make a small volume to keep the desirability up but as a real-life car it’s outrageously priced with tiny range, bad efficiency and VW infotainment (need I say more).
None of it matters though as it’s ‘cool’ but really it’s taking the P at this price.
As with any decent ev way way way too expensive another ev for the rich
ОтветитьThe Buzz was all hype sadly
ОтветитьDoes it also go straight into the uk's higher road tax bracket? 💷
ОтветитьButtons are better for driver efficiency. And not prone to not responding, being moved or resized just cause some idiot designer thinks it looks cool. Buttons just work. Soft bottons don't always.
ОтветитьLol, the title of this video was my exact reaction! Ended up ordering a Fisker. Much better value. I was a VW guy for a long time, maybe now I’ll be a Fisker guy.
ОтветитьIf money was no object ...
ОтветитьWould also love one but not at that cost although VW vans have always been expensive!
ОтветитьI absolutely want one, at least similar to this, but my god, how can they miss the mark on so many things.
My first foray into the van type world is my Nissan Elgrand. It's an incredible vehicle in that it is so versatile, 7 seats, luxury leather interior, great sound system, OK handling for a van, good performance with 240bhp, and so easy to use as a camper. All this for less than 10k! Then there's the fuel economy, which is simply awful, 15mpg around town and 25 on a run.
We have a small EV but switching the van over to an EV too would be great, but the price and lack of real functionality with the seating / 7 seats is pretty poor with this ID Buzz. I do hope they get a little better with the seating options but the price is still insane for what you get, I means that's 40 or 50k more than my current one, would take about 20 - 30 years to cover the difference in fuel costs!
May consider salary sacrifice lease when prices come down a bit. For a family though, vans are so much more useful than cars, no wasted space with long bonnets, functional space, easy to get into etc. Shame these vans / MPVs fell out of favour!
VW have squandered the advantage of their heritage by producing a Subpar product that is so irredeemably poor even the die hard sheep willing to pay £80,000 will wonder just what the fook they have done! Tesla will release a van soon that will render this tragedy an ink stain on the pages of automotive history. VW, will they survive producing overpriced this standard of vehicle? They have thought of everything, except range, performance, rear ventilation, rear opening windows, software that works, value for money and infotainment that works. Good luck with the residual value…..
ОтветитьLooks good, but I doubt I could afford it at that price.
Ответить£70k+? Mug territory. And you can’t even find the heater controls at night or have fresh air in the second row.
ОтветитьSaw one of these the other day in a light blue colour. Looks spectacular but I did wonder, how much?
VW do like to overcharge and then it's an EV.
Doesn’t work for me as a car at that price but I’m lucky and my work are getting me the van version. They’re going all electric, my current lease is up soon and until the new transit custom is released this is the only mid sized electric van with a realistic 200 mile range. The van version is much cheaper (starts at 42k).
ОтветитьA £71k electric Scooby-Doo VW-mobile ? Great review and lovely seeing the countryside of West Yorkshire, but I can't imagine many of us northerners parting with their hard-earned for one.
ОтветитьOverpriced crap !
ОтветитьThere will be a thousand variations of this 'van' as VW try to cash in, but as with most EV's these days, the price will restrict ownership to the well off and those who don't mind paying >£1000pm on a lease deal. Let's be honest, when you're paying that much money, you don't worry about much. It really does seem like the wheels are starting to come of the EV revolution, as now the EU have relented, it looks likely we'll still see combustion cars on the roads for decades to come.
ОтветитьFor me the range it’s a flying brick and has the efficiency of one , they should offer a larger pack than the default 77kwh and infotainment are still the issue, still buggy as hell, also for a trade Vehicle rear door ready should be split and open horizontally, not vertically, and why no sunroof option puzzles me it’s a two window the kids will be complain about lack of air within 50 miles this really should have been caught before launch
ОтветитьCan it tow? If so, how much?
ОтветитьI think they should make an ID Buzz mini too :).
ОтветитьThe future UK taxi. Also fantastic for cool road trips. The camping version will be awesome. Should've got a sunroof too. It should charge at a super fast rate for the mental price. Give it time, the Chinese will copy it.
ОтветитьI bet a camper (California) version will be over £100,000.
ОтветитьNowadays VW aren't the people's cars. They cost as much as mercedes did. Merceeds now costs as much as porsche and ferrari. Porsche and ferrari as much as bentley and rolls royce.
Everyone is sick in the head, asking prices higher and higher. Unjustified. They are the ones that are actually starting the inflation wheels. The biggest lie of the modern times, inflation. It all starts from sellers asking more and more, pushing the needle ...and governments simply standing still and watching as this ruins their economies.
Updated with a new gen motor with 282 hp will be better. It's to expensive and just for show in my opinion but i like it.
ОтветитьI thought it was a camper van 😂
ОтветитьAll new cars are far too expensive 😂
Ответить
