I had great numbers where I hunted in Arizona.

I think a follow-up on how to prep them would be great. Unfortunately I haven't had an opportunity to hunt very much and as I get into it more and more I would love good recipes. My sister thankfully divorced a guy that would really ruin duck

My wife and I are friends with a number of people who train bird dogs. We’ve often been asked to be the gunners for them as they are too involved with the training aspect to shoot. What a way to spend a Saturday!

Either you or someone else ran their butts off picking up those birds harvested without dogs!

Agreed with you with weather,here in north CA around Gilroy a lot of Quail every were like I never saw before in 20 years

Not only are you tired after the day hunting quail, but you definitely realize how Out of Shape you are. At least that’s how I feel.

Some newer guys I know went up to that area and I tried to give em a bit of advice where they should go. One got 4 the other got only 1. Glad to know that was just their complete lack of shooting and not due to lack of birds 😂 Glad you had a good opener.

I know you don't do the hunt vids like this as often but would love to see that Session upgraded to a DJI or something.

I have no experience with this. In Kentucky, where I hunt, bird dogs are essential to point and retrieve birds. In other words, hunting Bobwhite Quail is all about the dogs. They bring great emotional pleasure to the field.

That looks like Little Panoche…great quail hunting but brutal terrain.

And no bird dog to share the hunt with... Pity.
