I got banned from newegg after my girl tried to used her card to buy me a graphics card and although I showed them evidence of not being fraud the still kept me banned

I remember building my first gaming PC and purchased everything from Newegg back in 2002-2003 and had no issues and was happy with Newegg. Fast forward about 10 years later and I wouldn't purchase anything from this company ever again. It amazes me how many companies have employees and owners who destroy everything they've built so easily.

This is why im so happy to live in a country like norway, where the customer really is "always right". return policies are enforced by law, warranty is also enforced. I had an issue where an ssd was faulty, i sent it back and they said "we need more details to be able to process this return" after i had already provided everything they said they need on their website, they said "then we sadly cannot accept this return" so i just called up the Customerboard in the state and they agreed with my side, not theirs and boom, i got to return my product and got my money back. So even if you encounter a company who is trying to mess with you, you have someone on your side. An electronics store here often just sends you a replacement product on the spot when you return something and then they fix your product and sells is as a B product (open box kinda). Ive had nothing but good experiences with them and its reflected in them still being the major electronics store in the country. once i bought a powerbank, it said delivered but it wasnt in my mailbox. they just replied to my complaint "we sent another one, and if the original happens to show up, theres no need for a return" so i actually ended up with two powerbanks, one for free, and they didnt want anything back

I used to only buy from Newegg. At their peak, they were fantastic. From my perspective, Newegg started to go sideways when they tried to compete with Amazon by selling consumer products other than PC parts.

We have a lot of corporate greed from a lot of industries, historically for decades. The corporate greed is rampant for a few at the top leaving consumers with a bad price and experience. Classic business 101 issues…

I live under a rock, I guess. I’d never heard of any of this. I purchased $4000 worth of pc parts from them a few months ago and everything came together in perfect working order. Must’ve been incredibly lucky.

They banned me for simply trying to buy a digital gift card from them and never got a valid code then I emailed them asking for a refund and trying to explain that the card didn’t work. Instead of support helping me they banned my account forever. They also never refunded me.

Reminds me how I got screwed by a completely different company with a monopoly in their space. Go online and everyone attacks you, and I can be a lot of Newegg customers experienced this until Gamers Nexus put the spotlight on it, then everyone else comes out.

i got a chinese computer through new egg and the cpu was not fully seated and would not power on i found out when i took off the cooler and found that the cpu almost fell out i put it back into place then my computer worked i do not recommend buying prebuilds through this company i would recommend to just build one yourself that way you know it works and would be cheaper

So sad to see this happen to NewEgg. Back in the '00s & early '10s, NewEgg supplied me with the parts to build many a PC.

Coming from a former employee: their work life sucked. I was working there for a few months until they decided to down size space and people. I found out years later that the reason for the termination is that the assistant director fired everyone so he can hire friends and family

I feel there is someone at newegg that is making certain decisions that no one can fight. If they fight those decisions they get let go or fired. Or if that person doesn't like that those people are not towing the line they get let go or canned. This can't just be a lot of bad decisions from a group of people. It may be from a few or just one and that person or persons are running it into the ground thinking they are doing the job right.

I didnt know about this when I built my first computer. Bought a bunch of undersized and wrong parts. Luckily I didn't get a hard time from new egg on returns.

Newegg is doomed, when the suits are lying to save themselves it's over. Just say what the problem is to the investors, and it's an easy problem to fix. Even easier if you're a new executive. Just pick up the can that all the other suits before kicked down the road. Does the cost of doing business right outweigh being in business?

Newegg is a goddamn joke. I wanted to buy a graphics cards, but they denied me because it is a big purchase, and I am buying the first time. Apparently, that is their fraud protection, so you have to make a smaller purchase first before they authorize you to buy a larger purchase. Since I couldn't get my graphics card there at the time, I took my business elsewhere, and the name Newegg was forgotten to me for years until this video randomly pops up on my YT feed.

You missed the part where they didn't charge tax properly to CT customers and literally tried to bill them ages later. The people who paid lost that money and the people who didn't were never pursued.

Newegg was my go-to for years when it came to PC parts. Staff was helpful, prices were competitive and the shipping was fast. Customer service ended up pissing me off, so I went years without buying anything. When I finally did visit the website again, I couldn't believe the prices. No more Newegg for me.

So a company with the equivilant of internships for executives is struggling. Makes sense.

WTF how you blaming Customer support for the decisions taken by the higher management ?? They just follow the rules of their job, is that so hard to understand ? Gotta look to the bigger picture boy

Personally, I never had an issue with newegg. Questions always answers, returns processed without delay.
