Side note: I hope Asher has some tie ins with Euron, what with him being a sea-faring pirate in Essos, Asshai and Westeros.

Maggots only eat dead skin so in medieval times they where used to clean the wound to prevent infection. Leeches are for inflammation. They're used to make the swelling go down.

I love DB's knowledge of the series adds so much to the okay through. Can't believe I missed this series when it was posted.
