Ima be honest i didn't cry but it was pretty beautiful

Such an amazing beautiful tragic film I absolutely love it both the sub and the dub

Well I don't even have courage to rewatch it

It took me about almost three months to finally watch this film.

I cried like a little bitch the entire film, this film has a place in my heart right next to the Anthem of The Heart

A Silent Voice is a masterpiece, if you think not you're objectively wrong.

Yep I preferred A Silent Voice over Your Name. I watched A Silent Voice first, so I might be biased. But I like the message behind A Silent Voice more. And it got me in my feels more lol.

I have a hearing disability and this movie made me cry several times. It's fantastic to see my disability showcased and discussed in a form of media I love.

one thing i found i liked was that in the Dub they didn't subtitle the sign language used

I have watched this movie like 5 times and now so much later binging these videos on and there is so much about this movie to talk about with it wether source material, the emotions, music, or visuals and artistic direction. Why do i force my self to feel this all again😅

You know I'm disappointed, we dont get to see them smash at the end, or at least have them hook up, the disappointment.

Your name was a nice love story but this one. This one was a story everyone can relate to. This movie moves deep

I know I am way late on watching this master piece. but I absolutely lost myself in my emotions at the end when all the X's fell from everyones face.

This is officially my all time favorite and best anime i've ever seen. To start off at the beginning Inshida and Ueno would bully her and make fun of her and then years later Inshida starts to become traumatize of his actions when he encounters her again. This hit me emotionally because I was bullied myself in middle school cuz of the way i looked. But anyways I related Shouko so much she is probably the sweetest and kindest anime girl I've ever seen I would love to be friends with her and considering that this is a romance drama film the movie focused on the theme of friendship and forgiveness. Pet Girl of Sakurasou also had a similar way of handling it which i also adore that show but man this film had my heart torn especially how wholesome and cute it is. Ueno is a fantastic character portraying a person that still hasn't changed and is still in denial and when she saw that Inshida changed she denies it. It's also a reason why It's really sad cuz some people don't change even years after. Shouko and Inshida man.

I rarely cry at fiction but this film made me cry 3 TIMES! Idk how but holy fuck this movie is so well character written.

I’m curious, when did you guys get emotional in the film?
The ending hit me hard, not exactly tearing up but had a really emotional weight. I was quite surprised on the heavy subject matter this film tackles. Suggest more please!

From the trailer I thought that the movie was silent except for music. Just no talking in it

Weird thing is that I hear more static noises in the dubbed version(one can be heard when Ishida felt the excitement after the X of Nagatsuka went off), but it cannot be heard in the subbed version...

I think A silent voice is better than your name but i legit can’t re watch A silent voice for the life of me, it just makes me wanna cry lol

A Silent Voice is a living proof of the fact that the Oscars are bullshit

The 2016 Animated Movie A Silence Voice really means to me is:Bullying,Despair,by helping others,to learn to forgive one another and to bring hope with happiness from one another.

We all can learn a lesson from example of Shoko Nishimiya,the Japanese Deaf Girl.

Ive watched this movie today, its good but not that great, theres a lot of lazy characters.

I didn't like it. He bullied her everyday, screamed in her ears, destroyed her hearing aids everytime she got new ones, made her bleed, would try to trip her, got other kids to think it was OK to treat her that way, she had to change schools. She was so kind and all she wanted to do was make friends. He bullied her until she hated herself and wanted to kill herself. Then he feels bad about it when he's older and becomes friends with her to make himself feel better. How many people would become friends with someone who would bully you like that?

I just love how he normally says things like should you watch it and stuff in the beginning section but in this one he literally says "thats why you should watch it"

Favorite anime film ever, personally.

I do not like to compare this film with Your Name. Shinkai and Naoko are too very different directors. Both amazing in their respective genre. I will just post Shinkai's own words right after he released Your Name and after he also saw A Silent Voice
Makoto Shinkai, director of Your Name, called the film a "fantastic piece of work" and a "polished and grand production" which even he is unable to replicate.
