Oh man. Those pads take me back!
ОтветитьHow them Mylec pads hurt the knees going down hard on the asphalt!
ОтветитьMy first set of gear was that mask. A baseball mitt and we cut tan foam from who knows where and ran lace through them for leg pads. May of had a Franklin blocker. It was on the ponds and streets. I thought I was the king of the world when I got some Mattingly goalie gloves and all white Vaughn legacy leg pads probably stuffed with deer hair. I graduated to the big time lol. I think my goaliestick was like a straight blade 100lb vintage wood VIC stick maybe lol. My goalie bag was a plastic sled. This was in Indiana winters.
ОтветитьYes!! My official FIRST pad set.. The ‘ole’ Mylec leg pads for the inline hockey days! Tried & true design hasn’t faded 20 + years! Love the slow mo effects.. almost like the Wonder Years vibe 👍😎
ОтветитьMan I remember all mylec thing the ultra curve and I had a keeper who got the full faced helmets koho made he hand painted them to match nhl keepers he did a potvin and Roy helmet he did a kolzig one. All with the paint markers.
ОтветитьBrings back memories. I played dek hockey. Next to the ice rink I’d go back n forth to dek and ice. Them days I had a blast.
ОтветитьAnother great and fun vid bonesy!
ОтветитьThey make those in your size!? Unbelievable! Little dudes know what's up with the celly! 🔥
Ответитьyou're awesome Bonsey! Good job hangin' with the kids.
ОтветитьOh man this video takes me back. And the car driving through at the end is classic. "CAR!!!!". PURE JOY. We used to play in the alley behind our house with NO pads and let me tell you when that orange ball was cold, it hurt. I always wanted to be goalie and imitated Ken Dryden. Fun times.
ОтветитьAwww Yisss! Great Nostalgic trip there. I had some of the Mylec gear, as well as some Franklin. One of the kids had those plastic-shell goalie leg pads (kid-sized of course) and everyone wanted to try them out at some point. I started off with a similar face mask but a few good ringers my Dad got me the Mylec mask & cage. Good stuff!! Also: Massachusetts representing!
ОтветитьAwesome video 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
ОтветитьSo sick!! How hot were you??😅
ОтветитьBahaha I love this guy he's an Effing deadly dude!
ОтветитьI didn't know that they still make those pads my brother and I would go through a set every summer they where the best!!!
ОтветитьThis gave me all the feels. Took my back to my “Mylec Ultra Pro” days of dominating my local tennis court. ❤️
ОтветитьVideo got more slo mo than the matrix
ОтветитьSo cool. It definitely brought me back to the good old days. Along with the so much fun we had playing neighborhood games. Great video.
ОтветитьGotta watch out for Asher smasher....he has those sick moves. Cool video, always fun to get back to where the game started for us in the south anyway lol. I know thats where I started playing about 25 years ago.
ОтветитьHey! What is the mask like? I'm debating getting a similar mask made for ball hockey - wondered about vision and protection I guess
ОтветитьWas that Md Media? I love that legendary goalie gear, the colors was just right! Man, this made a 41 yr old go back in memory lane👏🏻
ОтветитьI play whith out pads 😎😎
Ответитьbro, what camera did you use to record the video? that was epic! above all the slow motion.
ОтветитьI’m a goalie to
ОтветитьDude lets do this again.
ОтветитьMiss mask 2023
ОтветитьNever saw white pads in the 70's they were always tan and most of the time they split at the bend after about 2 years. We always used Mylec and Bobby Clarke orange blades, I still have on of the old orange balls never been used.
Ответитьused the leg pads in 92 to 94...learned to go down as less as possible on knees.
Ответитьwill sliders work on 2006 brians air flow pads? ill occasionally use my vintage black ccm blocker from early 80s in games a blocker is a blocker or as us old timers would call them waffles 🤣
ОтветитьWe made goalie pads out of couch cushions and didn't use cups.
Ответитьquestion, what size is the old school style mask, because i love how it looks but not sure if it will fit my face
ОтветитьBrings back great memories.
Ответитьi was born in russia so when i came to canada i started liking ken dryden we looked up to vladeri triek in russia we played lots of hockey there kids also played a lot of street hockey when i moved here but now 30 years later im a bear league goalie and a canadian resident
ОтветитьThere are too many cut scenes when showing how to loop the string through the net.
ОтветитьAny body going hockey camp?
ОтветитьBro what camera and what lens do you used for this video ? Excelent quality 😎😎
ОтветитьWow, I had almost the same setup in 7th grade in 1980. The Mylec pads were brown but exactly the same plastic shell. Was great because you could slide towards puck handlers. I had the same blocker and glove with a Rogie Vachon mask. Thanks for the memories.
