If you want responsible and representative government, don’t sell your vote and refuse to be bribed for your vote. A politician who pays you for your vote does not owe you any further responsibilities. He’s going to go into government to recover his investment. When the citizenry gives out their votes in exchange of any form of largesse from the politician, the citizenry loses all claims to justifiably make demands on the politician. It’s akin to Esau selling his birthright to Jacob. The Nigerian youth can better hold politicians accountable if at first they don’t sell their birthrights by succumbing to the corrupt and manipulative practices of the politicians. Refuse to be bought.

The government hasn’t implemented one out of the whole demands you channel tv workers sometimes I wonder if you guys are among the youths imagine how many people killed in lekki and other parts of the country still no one has been arrested but they have already arrested people that pick up COVID 19 food that was meant for them what a country.

I will advise that chosen youth representatives should not agree to any closed door meeting. The next thing, they'll all be arrested and tried for treason. See what they did to Sowore. Any meeting should be internationally televised. Those politicians know what is happening. They dont care as long as they continue to be in power.

More protest is needed to get the government attention and to make the changes we need in nigeria. But now everybody is no longer coming out to protest again because there is no identifiable group of leaders to motivate and lead the youth to coordinate the changes we need. There should be at least 3 to 4 man leadership that will not be bribed or corrupted.
