Good to know every other artist has had the same experience painting with yellow. I think the most recent piece I did in yellow I just painted white and did a wash. Not sure if you can do that with leather paint...

If you are in the UK, use Scratch Doctor for leather paint etc. Their stuff is amazing. Theyve got fabric colour for furniture too

You should paint 2 coats of light grey first. Yellow is the hardest color to obtain.
