FYI you don’t even need to figure out the puzzle. There is a command console right around the corner from the hallway entrance. You can deactivate the turrets or change the friend/foe setting to protect you.

i got the ship but i cant use it for some reason it doesnt show up in ports and if i fast travel to space its just the cargo hold and cockpit nothing else

I got the message from the spacer. However I don't have enough fuel to reach the location. how do I fix this?

SF techs need to get that companion out of the way or be able to shoot thru her or them, ASAP!

You can also disable the turrets by the computer right by the doors to the turret room

Do you HAVE to find the Secret Outpost tablet in order to do this mission? I am on my second playthrough on Starfield New Game plus, and the Nova Galactic Shipyard is NOT giving my this drop to get Mantis Lair, for some unknown reason, (searched EVERY body, nothing). Anyone know?

na.. best to play it with OUT watching any videos how to do this or how to get that. So much more fun to learn as you go. But some like this and adding mods to help you cheat.. so many ..

PSA do not bother upgrading your starter ship.
You can't move weapon modules, habs, generators, grav drives or any other modules between ships.

wrong, best early game ship is star eagle, you get it from the end of the freestart rangers quest line

I DONT UNDERSTAND STARFIELD GRAPHICS ARE AVERAGE FOR AN AAA GAME AND MY PC CANT RUN IT WELL EVEN ON LOW GRAPHICS AND I RUN CYBERPUNK WITH ULTRA VERY WELL

Way overrated, it's are the same as every other purchasable ship in A class, the Wanderwell is better in every way. The Razorleaf is barely better than Frontier and scaring off ships makes leveling up your pilot skill much harder.

Well, when i got to the "puzzle" section, i just walked over it and unlocked the door.
I remember asking myself... "There must some puzzle to solve with all those letters on the ground...."
But, never had to do it. Go figure.

Pro tip because I’m to low level I ran through most of the robots in the main lab and got everything I needed

PSA the Star Eagle, free from the Rangers questline on Akila and can be obtained just a s soon as the Razorleaf, blows this ship out of the water.

Can you go straight to the planet without a note?

The ships good but if you grind a little and complete the FreeStar Rangers quest like line you’ll get a Class A ship that completely outclasses this one for free. The Star-Eagle ship is a beast with over 2000 cargo, 5 crew slots, and 900 shield. You don’t even need to level up piloting to fly it so it’s definitely worth the work

Highly recommend quicksaving before picking up the armor. I didnt realize and the roll I got for perks was a bit lackluster compared to my friends.

Wait what happens if you’re in the crimson fleet with the razor leaf?

It is really unfortunnate that the armor and helmet are so fugly. You look like a complete dork when you have it on. And the Razorback is very good for an early game ship, but by the time you reach mid-game it wil become quickly outclassed.

The armor is somewhat OP for how early in the game you can get it. But then armor isn't all that effective in this game anyway. I kept it for most of my playthrough just because mine came with the legendary perk that makes all weapons only count for 50% of their actual weight.

The ship, while a decent improvement over the starter ship isn't really all that great. If you're after a good ship you're better off completing the rangers questline which gifts you the Star Eagle upon completion which as far as I'm aware is far and away the best pre-built class A ship in the game. Right out of the box with no modifications it's got room for 5 crew, something like 2700 cargo capacity, 29ly jump capability, and it absolutely tears through ships like butter in space combat.

Very disappointed! I went back and double checked every dead spacer; never found this note about a secret base. I even picked up a few notepads along the way hoping to find it. No luck. Don't count on these spacers to give you the new mission. You may never get it here.

Best one is the frontier star eagle, makes the razor leaf look like 💩, also has the ability for 5 crew members which is way nicer

Razorleaf and 'best ship' don't belong in the same sentence unless it's "The Razorleaf is not even in the 'best ship' conversation".
