You're puttin yer apples on backward sonny boy. These are ten bucks on ebay.
ОтветитьHe should've also did potatoes.
ОтветитьI love the sound of the dog licking up water from the bowl.
ОтветитьWhen putting on an apple, I've been using my free hand on the crank side to control the speed at which the apple goes onto the spikes. It only takes one bad or even just small apple driven on with a bit of force to end up with a life-changing injury from that three-pronged sumumabitch!
ОтветитьGot mine yesterday at a church yard sale for $4.00. It works just fine. Save your cores and peelings to make Apple Scrap Jelly. Great video. Thanks!
ОтветитьThe patent must have expired because I have one made by RSVP international. It works great. Peels, slices and cores.
ОтветитьYou might want to wash the thing first before you use it. Just saying...
ОтветитьThank you. I just got one at a resale shop. Score for $2
ОтветитьWhy don't you read the directions? Exactly why Moses was lost in the desert for 40 years... Bed, Bath, & Beyond has these for 20% off, so they are only $16 and you can get free shipping. My chef school recommends them.
ОтветитьGot one for Christmas. Wanted it to peel kiwi. The kiwi core is too shallow and comes off when you get bout 1/3rd of the way on. I'd like to modify it to work with the kiwi. Maybe decrease the pressure on the cutting blade (skinning blade). Don't need it for apples. I eat about 95% or higher of the apple anyways.
Ответитьis this also spiral slicing the apples? not clear from the video
Ответитьok
ОтветитьGood review! Thank you very much.
ОтветитьNobody wants to sit and watch you peel apples all day dude show people how to use the damn machine
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьGood video thanks. Just got one of these and just wanted to see it in use for a better idea of how it worked.
ОтветитьI believe if you do not want so much apple to come off, then you have to adjust the bottom screw. The bottom screw is placing the tension tighter or softer on the peel cutter arm part.
ОтветитьDuring the pandemic, I am watching apples being peeled. 2020!
Ответитьuse the peels and cores to make applesauce
ОтветитьGood Lord, Mr. Ford! Shove that throttle FORWARD, son...like ya gotta' pair. You a Lib? Sigh.......
ОтветитьI was trying to make an apple pie for some friends of ours. I've made many in the past but my apple peeler was stolen (along with everything else) so I just purchased another one. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the peeler. I fooled around with the blade but it was cutting into my apple so much I would have had nothing left. Could you snap a picture of how you set your blade... I would really appreciate it.
Ответитьyeah the thing works great. It takes some time to perfect it. The key is getting the blade adjusted to the right depth. Also, if you spin it faster it seems to work better.
Ответить$10 at Big Lots! Best invention ever!
ОтветитьA pan of homemade apple bars takes 13 apples roughly. This apparatus makes it an absolute breeze! I like it for peeling potatoes too. I’ve found I have to cut the potatoes in half before peeling. Remove the coring blade at the end of the peeler and just leave the blade for removing the peel. Mashed potatoes are much easier now.
ОтветитьThx works great, I just got mine !
ОтветитьI have small odd shaped apples, the first couple, did the spirals, and removed core, I adjusted the blade, now it makes spiral design but doesn’t cut through nor remove core, blade needs open more, or less?
ОтветитьStem side in first
ОтветитьThanks for this. I was cursing this contraption the whole morning as the horizontal rod would not budge when I pulled it to the right along with lifting the silver hook part (as you did in the video). It was only when I actually rotated the black handle away from myself that it came loose. Thanks again :)
ОтветитьI got my little Back-to-Basics at the local goodwill store. I am amazed! What a great invention! Your little beginners video helped me to get started. Thanks. 👍
ОтветитьYou better show us the machete near to see instead of peeling thousand and one apples
ОтветитьTurn apple around stalk towards handle move blade further in and turn faster no problem this end
Mind you I look at instructions on on line simples
Thanks! This was very helpful!
ОтветитьGood job !! Thank you 😊😍👏🏼
ОтветитьYou should have been faster
Doing so slowly might not have the same result as doing it quickly
On my way to purchase one myself. Thanks for the share.
ОтветитьThank you for the demo ... wow, love it
ОтветитьAll these negative comments, just be thankful he even took the time to do a review, what’s wrong with people, always complaining
ОтветитьGreat video. Directions didn’t even tell me how to use suction on bottom. Lol. Just read about rewinding when done and core will fall off. 😂
ОтветитьPlease don’t swear
ОтветитьThanks.
ОтветитьJust ordered one this week. It arrives on Saturday and there's a bunch of apples just begging to be processed!
ОтветитьThanks for the demo! I just bought one and haven’t used it yet, wasn’t sure how to!
ОтветитьI think you were putting the apple on backwards. The instructions with mine said to insert the apple with the stem on the backside rather than facing outward.
ОтветитьHorrible gimmick and waste of money
ОтветитьЦена и покупка от къде?
Ответитьstupide
ОтветитьHey it’s 2024 and I am just watching this. I bought the same peeler from Amazon and did not know exactly how to use it even after reading instructions. Your video showed me how. TY
Ответитьim missing the thumb screw for the corer. my mom paid 40 dollars 20 years ago and I inherited it.
