Offer fitting days instead of club specific demo days. Do it for free. Don’t try to sell them anything that day. Just give them a business card with the correct fitting info on the back of it. When golfers see how wrong their clubs/shafts are for them they will be coming back to order new ones!

I was playing R shafts and was supposedly fitted for them at Golfsmith. After a year and a half I went to buy a driver and just for kicks went through the Mizuno fitting process. I am 57 years old and it said XS, so I skipped the driver and ordered a set of JPX 900 heavy metals with the KBS Tour 130 x shafts and my game has never been better. I can control my shots so much better. I guess sometimes you need to be macho instead of on the wimpy side also....love my KBS......as a side note, I did end up with a new driver later. It is a Cobra with a stiff shaft.
