You can’t expect a country to compromise on issues. Of sovereignty, and taking back sovereignty from the eu was the whole point of Brexit. The eu’s demands are totally unreasonable and they have never made demands like this with other countries in trade deals and the UK as a independent sovereign nation could never agree to these ridiculous demands. However the eu has miscalculated the UK’s position . Brexit means Brexit and the people of the UK are expecting a proper eu free trade deal or no deal at all. No deal is worth sacrificing a part of a country’s sovereignty

They want us to compromise over our sovereignty. What other country would they demand that from? They are bullying, arrogant, thugs and are treating us the same way they have treated us for the whole time we have been in the EU. They have also treated us with contempt and ignored anything we have put forward. All they ever wanted was our money and to wreck our industries including the Fishing industry. We voted to get out of that corrupt organisation, who cannot even get their finances signed off each year. Boris, just get us out. The French COULD have treated us with the respect we have shown them and perhaps we could have come to some agreement regarding an annual fishing licence. However, the EU's totally unfair quota of fish they allowed us to catch in our OWN waters caused the decimation of our Fishing industry and we cannot just let the EU steal the Fishing communities livelihoods again. And THEY want us to shed tears for THEIR fishing industry?!!

How the hell can you get a trade deal with 27 countries with their own acts to grind. The UK should not give way.

So to burst your bubble - U.K. has already compromised too much. It is the EU’s turn to compromise if they want a deal.

If they don’t I would suggest mini deals to cover specifics like aviation and move on.

WTF is this BS? As if the EU regulations manifested itself out of thin air and suddenly the UK has to deal with something utterly new! The rules and regulations have not changed in ages to get access and they will not change for the UK. Now that the UK has become a 3rd country it has to accommodate the EU if it wants access to the market, like everyone else.

So, the interviewer sees negotiations that show no sign of being successful as being 95 - 99% complete and the MEP similarly advocates ignoring reality, specifically fisheries but, generally, others too and concentrate on the "bigger picture". No wonder the negotiations are where they are and may they remain there until 11 pm on 31/12/20.

For the UK, it is a very simple decision. It is only the remoaners losers, those who personally benefit of the UK staying in the EU, traitors, will say otherwise.

No deal is by far much better rather than to sign the level playing field with ECJ role in it, to allow the EU vessels to plunder the UK water, to allow some part of the country to be controlled by the EU. If Canada, Japan, South Korea are not stupid to allow these things to happen, why would the UK ? In the past taking a country sovereignty would mean a declaration of war. Let alone this is just for a trade deal with the EU where the EU has a surplus of £80bil.

Second, we're out. Better out completely than excepting terms that leave no advantage to having left in the first place. Boris has been granted a majority, he has to use it for this.

Do what you do in a divorce. When one of the partners want to take what doesn't belong to them. Give them a divorce send them on their way with nothing. The EU robbed Britain of it's wealth through communist countries. Its one of the big reasons they left. Give them nothing and say adios amigo !! There are plenty of other countries who would gladly trade with Britain. The EU is only 15% of world trade.

A no Deal would initially be bad for the UK!!!! However it will be good in the long term given the more freedom to strike new deals without restrictions.

Hence a no Deal will not be great for the EU but will be even worse later down the line having a former member and it's biggest individual market being super competitive on its doorstep without restrictions. The UK will become the goto place with alot less restrictions in Europe over the very hard work and very hard to deal with EU! They know this and that's why they are being CUNTS!!!

Access to the EU common market is guaranteed under the WTO rules so the EU are not giving us access to the common market. What they are doing is giving us a zero tariff zero quota access under a free trade deal. So, the only thing they are offering us is a saving of an average of 3.5 percent tax on our goods sold to them. For that they want us to accep regulatory alignment and a level playing field and the status quo on fishing. That is a price far to high for us to pay. Better to leave on a no deal and pay their tariffs while maintaining our independence.
