Of the main off the boat trucks, which one is the best? Like which one looks the best, has the most aftermarket support, part availability, reliability, build quality etc? I’m going to be buying one, I have a couple ideas of what I want to do, but I think I want to do a body kit and paint it, I can paint cars myself I have a booth and guns and have experience painting. Which of the main trucks off the boat do you think is the best?

they are now street legal in Texas so i am back to looking for one. but so far i think i was a sambar with A/C has to have a/c would like but dont have to have low range and a def lock.

On the suzuki kei with the body kit, an easy maybe fix on the battery is to relocate it for easy change. Making a battery box in the bed would be nice maybe🤙🏼

You use the word "better" a lot. You're talking about your personal preference, which isn't better, it's better to you. There are thousands of stock or restored kei trucks that the owners consider "better" than these that have been modded.

Totally love all of this. My Suzuki Carry is left hand drive instead of right and extended cab. Its a blast to drive as it is so different than my one ton trucks and 1/2 ton trucks. I really think I have to paint it a hi-vis paint of bright red or yellow so I don't get run over.

kei truck with a lift gate just seems funny to me. is it handy? yeah, sure. does the lift have a higher capacity than the truck itself? hey, why not?

I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion, but I honestly don't like any of the mods. I just love the stock look, personally. I guess I'm boring. I wouldn't want to change anything except maybe switch to stock-size all-terrain tires and add some sound deadening. I'd consider a quieter than stock exhaust, if there was a way to do it without losing power. I know I want a Sambar or Acty, but I'm not sure which yet. If anyone knows of a quiet exhaust for either of those, please let me know. Thanks!
