Very thankful for this discussion brethren!
ОтветитьAppreciate y'all addressing this topic. Recently came across some of this info as well and it is very scary the amount of death the IVF industry has and continues to inflict on the "least of these"... I'm not seeing the resources posted for this yet with that interview, will that be posted soon?
ОтветитьWow. Such a great episode! I appreciate this so much. The Hudgens are amazing people. This is a topic that does open our eyes. As someone who wanted to be a Mom my whole life but am not able, it's heartbreaking and I get the desire but the dark side is children are literally left frozen in time or discarded like yesterday's trash. I came to a similar realization with oral contraceptives that I took for years. After further research, some of them (progesterone only) work by thinning the uterine wall so that fertalized embryos cannot implant into the uterus and essentially die. Ultimately I had to give up my uterus anyway because of a medical condition but I had control over choosing to stop taking those contraceptives. Do research, it's so important. ❤
ОтветитьInteresting discussion! I've not really heard much on this topic.
ОтветитьI have a degree in lab science and I believe in science, but I'm a christian first before anything. Without God there would be no science and I think most christians don't realize that. I think you guys did a very good job bringing things closer to the surface about IVF and the relationship that the medical community has when it comes to unborn children. You guys have really opened my eyes to these medical procedures like IVF and made be realize that Doctor's are essentially keeping desperate parents in the dark to what is actually happening to their biological products. I think IVF is amazing and that its a gift from God, however, I think there is just a lack of respect for actual human life. People have been illogically informed about IVF to the point where they have been so desensitized to the fact that these are actual possibilities of HUMAN life! Doctors need to be held more accountable to how they explain the actual steps they take for these treatments to be successful. The fact that people think its normal for multiple embryos to be fertilized at once and then gone through like literal objects to see which one is the "best" is just crazy to me. Thank you all for opening my eyes, we need civil conversations like these happening way more! Much Love ❤
ОтветитьIVF is different than IUI (intrauterine insemination) Unfortunately there are some dishonest practices in the world of fertility.
My wife and I began with medications and IUIs (what you referred to as “artificial insemination”) before going down the road of IVF.
Unfortunately we found our first practice missed ovulation windows during IUIs, pushing us towards their IVF “package.”
Just like some things, people turn it into a cash grab.
Even when switching to a more honest clinic, we still spent upwards of $50k on all of our procedures.
Choosing a clinic based on how they treat money can be indicative of how they will treat you as a patient.
We switched clinics and it was night and day. They respected our wishes. We had 1 or 2 failed IUIs there before moving to IVF.
We had been diagnosed with “unexplained infertility.”
The 2nd clinic facilitated our wish for minimal stimulations. And, we only chose to fertilize no more eggs than we (or my wife) could potentially carry. Our clinic also offered to freeze eggs, but didn’t recommend it, because there are quality issues when thawing.
We went through 5 stimulations, 4 egg retrievals, and got successfully pregnant twice. We miscarried the first pregnancy at about 8 weeks, which came from our first retrieval and transfer.
Now we have a 9 week old from our last retrieval.
Our “best” embryos were our only embryos. And we transferred every embryo we ever had trying to successfully get pregnant. Our only child was labeled a “3BB,” which is a far cry from the “best.”
Egg retrievals (and if you miscarry, D&Cs) can scar a cervix, which can inhibit their dilation during pregnancy, causing one to have a c-section. I suppose that could be an argument against IVF, but that could happen to a “normal” pregnancy.
Not all clinics encourage pornography. There are collection condoms, and you can bring a collection from home most times as long as it’s within an hour.
This discussion, so far, has been much more constructive and scientifically accurate than that of our brethren at Focus Press. They also discourage the overstimulation of ovaries, saying it’s not natural… yet, how many common procedures today are done that are “not natural?” I don’t see anyone condemning a tonsillectomy, or an appendectomy.
Life begins when sperm and egg make cells, which then turn into embryos and tiny people. I think as long as you respect that, and you don’t electively end that (end life), that’s what really matters.
Thank y'all for the information and bringing the issue to light I had no understanding of this untill now God bless your continued work
ОтветитьSad thing about it is neither Donald Trump Nor Harris for pro-life I believe our country and many even in the church are headed for judgment because we haven't stood up for The unborn thank you for standing for truth
ОтветитьThe answers you are searching for are straight from the Bible. There are many examples in which women could not bear children and recognize that He is the Creator of life Who opens and closes a woman's womb. In God I trust. So many children need adopting if there are barriers to having one's own children. Just a thought?
ОтветитьThank you so much for covering this topic! Especially from a Christian perspective. I appreciate you guys covering topics that the church doesn’t really talk about to help us be better informed.
ОтветитьHaven't finished the episode yet so it may be covered. But very interested to hear the bibles take on surrogacy.
ОтветитьSometimes when it comes to Gods creation we have to take what God told Jonah into consideration. Nothing happens without God. This we know. Lets not think we have a right to be concerned about something we don’t even understand because it’s truly the realm of God. Rather than be concerned about IVF let’s actually be concerned with those who are spiritually dead and let God be concerned with IVF. Continue to preach Jesus to those physically walking around living dead. ☠️
There’s enough to do in the vineyard already.
We can make the word of God do anything but is it right for us to do so? There are real concerns that God wants us focus on.
And he said, “It is right for me to be angry, even to death!” But the Lord said, “You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night. And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left—and much livestock?””
Jonah 4:9-11 NKJV
Love your guy's stuff, but is there a possibility you can set chapters for these videos?
ОтветитьI love you two brothers
ОтветитьIn regards to what Scott said about slaves counting as 3/5 a person, it’s known as the 3/5ths compromise, its clause 3 of section 2 of article 1 of the constitution. The issue was how slaves were going to be counted because it would affect the apportionment for the House of Representatives and give more power to southern states in the house. Ironically the southern states wanted slaves to be counted as a whole person even though they couldn’t vote so they could have more power in congress where as the north didn’t want them to count at all because they didn’t want the south to benefit from their counting because they knew that power would be used to continue the institution of slavery. I think the slave debate pertains to this debate about unborn children because the principle applies to both, either a person is a person regardless of race, level of development, gender, any other category, worthy of all rights granted to man by God and recognized by the government in the constitution, or they are not and you can do with them as you please as you would with property, and who is the arbiter of who is and who is not “human”. If we recognize that the unborn are humans, and they absolutely are, then they simply can not be treated as anything else without being inconsistent with the law.
ОтветитьI once kept a beautiful spirit child with a hearing problem. Who always in her beautiful special voice asks her loved little sister a lot this question in her mess ups,"What you're doing?" The sweet memory of her asking always comes to me when I see, hear and be mess ups. I ask, "What are we doing with this sadness of doing to another human being. We act out having no conscience of compassion but a distasteful love of money greed and self-gratification." UNBELIEVABLE! I believe God is still all seeing and all power on His throne. Babies waiting in the freezer to be chosen to be born or not to be born. And that of the process of abortion 😢 An all seeing eye knows ... God. Thank God for those who lovingly step up to rescue precious life.
ОтветитьYes, we all make mistakes but when enlightened we turn around to make better and right choices before a forgiving God. Appreciate the program of discussion.
ОтветитьSuch great insight on the topic of IVF... I would say that the major solution that would be sustainable in the long run would be to put tight regulations on the procedure itself, how many eggs should a Dr harvest, how many embryos are just enough so that one wouldn't have to freeze some and how many should be implanted so that there will be no need for fetal reduction afterwards.
Also, can adoption (of children not embryos) be more encouraged because I have always been of the opinion that the whole process of IVF is stressful, emotionally, physically and financially.
Adopting embryos can't be a solution because for everyone one gets there are many more being made!
Thank you very much, I enjoyed the video.
So glad to hear your remark about abortion and rape - I believe the same thing. What do you say to someone when they ask you about the life of the mother or fetus? A lot of people would say the mother should have an abortion so it can save her life. I never have a great answer for this. Please help.
ОтветитьVery based and red pilled from Scott
ОтветитьAll those kids in the freezer just fills me with dread.
