You should try a funk firm achromat, an arm rewire by audio origami, but then it would add more cost. I have an RB300 rewired, which was a day/night difference. However, my turntable is a 1980's Pink Triangle
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьA cheap upgrade get some packets of jelly from the supermarket place them under coasters. another thing you can use blu-tack little 6 mm balls as a mat, make it into the shape of the start of David and on the joining Lines the centre part put a pieces of blu tack as well so you do have a hexagonal shape in the middle make it about 29.3cm wide. If you find it sticking to the record when removing just separate place a thin sheet of toilet paper and put on top of the blu tack.
There's one thing I don't like about that turntable is there's no bracing from the top just relying on a thin piece of stainless steel, I'm assuming that's what it is, on the bottom is not good enough needs to be more rigid, if you can get a piece of oat or perspex that's 8mm thick and clamp it to the top of the arm mount structure and the top of the plinth, I think would be a better approach. Place a bit of white Surgical tape around first before clamping add to the arm base tightly wrapped about three times should be enough, and you could put a piece on the plinth. when attaching you could use builders adhesive but better to bolt it through in three places. What's the name of the turntable?
Hi that turntable looks
amazing . looks like the gyrodec
You could try the goldring E4
Great video
Looks and probably sounds amazing!!
ОтветитьIf you like upgrading Rega decks you should start with a P3, the P1 and 2 are starter decks to get you started on your vinyl journey, the P3 has better bearings and the option to go for an external power supply
Ответитьi never liked REGA turntables but recentelly i tested a P10 and it sounded good to me so i bought it, maybe because i was using a Phase linear system from the 70´s the series two with some huge JBL monitors and it sounds perfect, i used to have old goldring cartridge on a turntable i have from the 70´s ,the marble plinth kenwood
ОтветитьYour one turned out better than my ARB, every time you took the platter off to change the speed it fell over 😂😂 Machining was horrendous.
ОтветитьGreat and interesting video, it’s a shame that the elys 2 picks up hum on rega panar3 when it gets to end is record play . Regards mark
Ответитьthat is one cool looking TT. If it had a thick white ceramic platter, it would be perfect for me
