When I was at University, our “school” was headquartered on the 7th floor of a building on campus. A rather anal lecturer went in to do some work on a Friday evening of an upcoming long weekend, where the Monday was a holiday. The lecturer took the elevator and it stopped, he tried to call with his cell, no reception, he tried the phone on the elevator, it didn’t work. Long story short, he was in the lift from Saturday to Tuesday! No water, no food, in bad shape when they let him out. He was unable to even enter the building after that experience. He eventually sued the University and won.
