ОтветитьLove the distraction journal idea, these are all great tips. Thanks 👌
ОтветитьHello The ADHD Mind,
Thanks for these tips. I did all of those but I still find myself poor at focusing at work, specially in a conference with a client. I guess my last resort for me to really boost my focus on a certain situation would be taking medications. Taking meds is something I still don't do because I have this idea that taking meds have bad side effects in our organs. But I will give it a try and see what would be the result.
Thanks so much again! :)
My mind was wandering while watching this.
Ответитьthe timer for just ten minutes and the distraction journal sound so interesting to get things done, i'm gonna try them
Ответить“All you have to do iA follow the steps in front of you.” AhhhHA cute. A quarter of the battle is setting the steps the remaining 70% is being able to focus ON the steps you’ve set.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьMy psychologist said that my case is very severe adhd since child . Last time i had to take too many medicine. Now im an adult opting for occupational behavior theraphy session

Ответитьdidn't see the video. couldn't concentrate.
ОтветитьHOLY FUCK THIS VIDEO IS SO USEFUL. Also thank you for the time stamps because my dumbass refused to focus on anything💀
ОтветитьTip 3 would destroy me personally. I would throw myself into those small ideas.
And I got this problem where EVERYTHING is distracting.
I’ll be doing my work then a fly distracts me, I kill it. I see my room is messy, I start cleaning it. Wait, that thing doesn’t belong here? I put it back. I see a fun book I haven’t started reading. I start reading it. It’s 9 PM. I have to make dinner. I eat and then it’s already 10 PM and I still gotta do laundry. So I do that and it’s 11:30 PM. Well shit. Still gotta do my 4 - 5 hours of work that’s due tomorrow. And then it’s 6AM and I gotta eat breakfast so I can head out at 7 AM and catch my bus at 8:15 AM.
So yeah.
A devil circle
Best hack - Put on background instrumental music (no lyrics), rain sounds, flowing water sounds, ASMR tapping or any ASMR sounds you enjoy, or any background sound.

Ответитьthe irony of me watching adhd focus videos for past half hour whilst doing other things and not paying attention to the contents of each video
ОтветитьI want to try the ten mins but once I take that break I never come back 😢
Ответить1. 10 minute timer
2. Write 2-3 important tasks for the day. Do One at a time.
5. Distraction journal
6. Easier tasks when unfocused.
