NGL, the r*dne*k accent for paranormal romance, along with your light hair, makes me think Paranormal Romance is Sookie Stackhouse. I dunno if that was the inspiration, but that's the connection my brain makes! 😅

Its funny because historical has the greatest potential to be so damn dark because a lack of awareness and contraception was just one part of the reasons for many children the other dark reason being the MORTALITY rates of not just adults but the varying HIGH child mortality rates across history 😭😭🤣🤣

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought it was never that they didn't know, it was they weren't told until they were about to be married.

Because telling them sooner "corrupted" them, but they would still have to know in time so they could actually have a wedding night.

Aren't historical romances often times the most explicit and fed up? At least in Germany they are. We have one called Die Wanderhure, which literally means traveling hooker.

This idea that people in all times and places in the past just didn’t know about sex and babies is wild to me. I mean sure high class ladies probably didn’t have to deal with it, but I’m pretty certain a lot of young girls were around for their younger sibling’s births and things.
