Is it weaker than the wp5 phone or is it tolerated but the reason for breaking is the weight of the wp6 phone ??

Any thoughts about the charging port/earphone jack cover? Is it hard to remove accidentally or even on purpose when charging? Would it last for years (the flap cover not breaking and the seals going crap)?

At the bottom of the screen there is home button can it be hidden ?

sorry, but in the tests that I could observe, nobody released the wp6 from a height like this. It has a similar one, but wp6 is inside a block of ice.

Got mine almost a week ago; charged it right out the box and haven't since (battery at 77% this morning). Love not worrying about that and screen breaking just 'cause it was sat on or dropped from waistline. Love the weight and feel. Not for softies, yuppies or sheilas.

tough..its working!..great..so if you drop it on a high levels...esp outdoor sports adventures..it is worth having. esp when you caught up with accidents etc.

Holy smokes, I can't believe it didn't survive the drop test. I thought that was the specialty of these Oukitel phones. :/ The camera in picture and video was surprisingly very good.

Thanks for this . I wanted to buy this phone, because I work in construction industry and needed a rugged phone . But with this failed test, I have changed my mind . Thanks once more. MONEY SAVED .

Great video. Sorry about your Oukitel wp6 breaking but that fall was too high. Rugged smartphones are usually drop proof for 1,2m onto concrete.

Today i dropped my awesome Oukitel WP6 from waist height screen first twice onto tile floor and no damage at all on the phone.

Mine fell out the back of my transit van on to gravel face down and broke the screen. Money wasted and can't use at all now. Great video though shame I didn't see it before I bought it.

Love the battery life as I ride motorbike and tour cycle. Need no onboard charging which subjected to vibrations and charging interruptions due to the nature of usb connection. Able to support phone GPS operations n music/entertainments for 2 days of operation on a single charge! No need to worry about rain as well. Lost my 1st similar adventure phone dropped off the motorbike holder. Now using modified celicon rubber holder which is able to securely hold this large phone.

Failed the droptest because people regularly drop phone out of 1st floor windows instead of just out of their hands. You might want to check out what IP68 stands for before making a fool out of yourself again.

Hi saw u review of this phone..looked great untill the drop test..im after another phone and was looking at these chinese ones..but unsure whats best about at the moment..as this vid was 7 months ago..theres up and down reviews so unsure what to phurchase any advice would be good..iv been looking at oukitel...ulefone and doogee..thanks

I droped mine down the stairs ( acitendaly ) and it was okay

I have the WP5 and it has fallen onto the marble floors where I work facedown several times without even a scratch. And last week it fell several feet as I trip on the marble stairs, without a scratch. The distance was equal to one level. So , i’m wondering why anyone one would purposely toss their phone out a window from the first floor. Why not from the roof?

Mine fell from concrete on the back from 1.5m and the screen cracked. If u have this phone i reccomend getting a screen protector cuz the screen is very fragile appearantly.

Does this model have the casting to tv function? Because the wp2 doesn't:( and also,when charging..does it indicate "charging slowly" "charging rapidly" like other big battery phones? Because the wp2 doesn't n it's a problem because sometimes it hardly charges at all n i think its on charging slowly mode n i cant check,i just plug it out then in again to reset charging mode

The screen is not gorilla glass as they claimed. After just a fews days of use, the screen of my phone have scratches so I put on a tempered protective screen. The loud speaker gave out also after a few months of use.
