kitschy colors, could be kitsch
ОтветитьWow
Ответить"Formal Colorist" is not easy to pull off but Joanne Ungar has made a huge step in allowing the pigment to be suspended to fully accentuate translucent color, light and even shadow. Congratulations Joanne Ungar.
In my opinion this might be one of the most difficult forms of abstract to pull off because the artist knows that the image, the subject is the color and light. A very rarely seen color and color saturation is often not so obvious to the viewer that the artist is forced to give the viewer a subject or a reason to scan the painting to really seek out its true form of beauty. Without the reason for the viewer to slow down to scan the painting the viewer will miss the huge amounts of subtleties in the way the pigment is catching light in the deep states of the image and coming up and out of the painting.
To an Artist a never before seen color is a dream come true but to the casual viewer ... Eh,.
Very cool concept 👍

ОтветитьBeautiful pictures and interesting technich - but perhaps too much technic and too little substance??!!
ОтветитьWow! Great singer!
ОтветитьThank you very much for the insightful look at Joanne Ungar's exhibition!!
Ответитьthank you for lingering over closeups of these pieces -- gives us an opportunity to catch the subtleties of color, texture, and layering inherent to the work. almost as good as being there!
