That CoD MW2 test kinda proves CoD is definately still using an old game engine if MW2 is running that well on a 760

A very interesting idea! Would be interested in others eg 780ti .. 980ti vs 1070... 970 vs 1060 .. 1070 vs 1660... would maybe do what iceberg tech does and start with older games as a baseline and move upto more modern APIs. Great one! :)

Hey there, i am a regular Hardware fiddler myself, and yes, while Forza Horizon 5 worked with 700 series cards in the beginning, i tested it with a 750Ti when it came out, they removed that support somewhere.. i'd say around 6 to 12 months ago.
They might've switched to a complete DX12 requirement by now, you know what, might've been when they introduced the Ray Rracing Features, that would make sense, I think those were not in in the launch version.

How did you get MW2 to run on your 760? Everytime i open the app, it just crashes

The 1060 in my old pc has stopped working.
I had a rummage to see what I had to replace it and I found a dual fan Asus 760 and a single fan Asus 750ti.
I'm going to give both of them a go. Should be able to run the sort of games I play on that pc. Stuff like Forza 3 and Battlebit.

I'm still using a 750ti but I will be upgrading my gpu soon. If you play competitive games and so on it's still perfectly playable. I wonder what I will be doing with my baby once I get a new card

I build a PC for my Son with a Celeron J4125 and a GTX 750Ti. It's good for Homework and 900P gaming with Low Power Consumption.

Crazy how the GTX 760 performs worse than 750 Ti while consuming 3-4x the power. We won't get this level of price to performance ever again.

I just installed my 750ti into my wife's computer at her office as she was wanting dual monitors and had said that her desktop only had 1 display (VGA) connection. Turns out that I was correct that it does indeed have a second connection for HDMI, but as I was already there at her office went ahead and installed it, and got the 2 monitors I had laying around setup. She told me that when she came in after her weekend, her boss was kinda jealous of the setup.

I had a GTX 760 which I bough around the launch of the PS4. At the time my PC as a whole performed better than a PS4, but looking back I should have gone for the console. Now I don't play PC games at all anymore, but I do enjoy these type of videos a lot. I honestly couldn't care less about the high-end PC stuff, I find getting modern games to run on affordable order parts far more interesting.

i have a gtx 780 ti and it black screens alot its to do with drivers. as i know that card is well looked after it is my old gaming card . i upgraded from that to a gtx980 now a 1070. to be fair 1070 is fine most aaa titles these days on 1080 three monitor set up. looked a rtx but im not paying £300 for a gpu. if you can play your games at 1080 high / med these days it dont matter. if you can afford a 4k monitor you shouldn't even be interested in these old cards.

And this hasn't even mentioned that 750 Ti is using 4x lower power than the 760. The power savings alone would make up for any performance gaps whatsoever lol

Got a 750 ti paired with a Fx 4100, stock settings. Playing persona 5 1080p, locked 30fps medium. Without the cap it averages 50fps, was surprised.

What about the 4gb 750ti ssc by evga how’s that one hold up

I'm glad to see the old 760 still kicking butt in 2023. It was my first gaming GPU back in 2013 and came with a free code for Arkham Origins. It was such a great card for the price/performance.

As a kid I wanted to buy a zotac gtx 750 ti. For a low low price, I couldn't ask for more. By the time I could buy one, they stopped making it. I guess the driver support for 750 ti comes from the fact that 750 ti sold more than the 760 and it makes more sense to make drivers for it.

Bought the 750TI for the low power back in 2014. Well seems I was ahead of the time already, since nowadays with electricity prices skyrocketing I would love low power option from NVIDIA and AMD but only Apple seems to care about that.

So basically the truth is what we always knew, that NVidia fears their older cards.

30 FPS makes me sick even with a low end graphics card I'd rather just not game in the first place

I found my 750Ti dead the other day :(
plugged it in to test something, noticed the fans going full blast without the GPU being picked up and saw that one of the smd capacitors on the back SOMEHOW got torn of, taking a few mm of trace with it. Also a resistor that's half ripped off but very fixable.
If only I had any damn idea of the capacitor's specs so I can even THINK ABOUT replacing it.

I never got to try it as I ended up selling my 750Ti on, but you should be able to use Proton in Windows, or just use Linux to play games like Halo Infinite on the 750Ti, Forspoken should work too! As somehow despite it being limited by feature levels on windows, Proton seems to get around them in Vulkan.

Still running 750ti, 30W peak power consumption looks ridiculous from nowadays 400-500W cards. For sure, nvidia has inrerest in the energy sector.
