when living in somewhere or going there frequently you get used to everything surrounding you and once revisit scary things over and over it is not going to be scary like in the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R i noticed they have developed dark humor. If you get used to something and always see it and experiennce that will become normal for you and he doesnt care about it anymore accepting fate and enjoying life the last time.

As I fought my way out the Evac Ship, my comrades fall one by one.

"Drifter" Lem tried to "_thin the line_" but took a bullet to the skull that was meant for me after his smoke ran out.

"Hivemind" Xane was shot multiple times through the small unprotected gap while we got distracted by several melee scav waves, she succumbed to her wounds later on.

"Lazarus" Mitz was patching up Xane, she was sniped right on the head after our defenses broke apart.

"Zealot" Ruther provided my escape, however too many scavs jumped on his riot shield and was overwhelmed.

I fired my last knuckleboom shell but it made it barely easier to defeat the remaining scavs.

As I sat there, with a broken left arm and my legs wounded. I hear a faint sound of a guitar.

It was my old friend, Red.

As she sat for another melody, she saw me laying on the side of the Evac Ship. She approached me while searching in her backpack for meds but to no avail. We both knew what is gunna happen to me. "For someone who has lost everything, I might as well play my melody to you".

She climbed up the tower and played her favorite, "Calm Night".

Every beat, every struck, every note she plays, it really felt like a calm night for once. As there was barely anyone to feast upon, the reikgons dissapeared one by one.

As I look up in the sky in this Decaying Winter, knowing I completed my mission and someone can tell my story, that I can meet my comrades, "Finally, finally its over".

played a really interesting DW match yesterday, i was on HIVE playing casually and i got to wave 7 and barely made it out alive with like 34 HP and i thought i was good until i saw i had artery and to my surprise there were basically no heals, i looked through the mountain, nothing, then went to the crashed spaceship and nothing as well, by that time i had like 10 hp left and i went for the tower cuz although it usually has no good loot it was my last chance, first floor just some ammo, second floor just some cabinets with useless stuff, third floor storm coming in and nothing and finally made it to the top and to my demise nothing so i just sat next to the fire and since i always grab the guitar in my runs i managed to listen to the start of the song before dying

As I stand my ground, firing my caldwell to no bitter end, I see my friends die one by one. the first dead on the deafening sound of gunfire, the other bled out, crying for his mother as his legs... his legs. another blown to pieces, I still remember the viscera and gore as I wiped down my eyes crying. I sacrifice their souls to Reikala, as I finally shoot yosef in the fucking head like he deserved. I cried for hours, with blood all over my body and a searing pain on my shoulder. I clumsily wrap a tourniquet over my injury. And I know they were standing there, their red glowing eyes guarding over me. As I sleep away, I swear... I could see a smile in their eyes, even though they weren't staring at my face.

I cautiously stare over the can of beans over my right. The music stopped as someone approached me blindly. I saw a woman, she was beaten and bruised, battle-worn as I can see, over the years.
she stared at me, and uttered a sentence. I passed out again as I finally heard those words.

I only realized about Red today, and from now on I'll give her guitar back on later nights to remind me of the calm before the storm, both the scavs and the storm itself.
