Question. I always paint the base first and then stain the top--so I don't have to tape and paper off the top. Why do you do the opposite, why stain first--and tape and paper it off and then spray the base? I see a lot of others do it your way too. My way, so what if a little overspray hits the top, it sands right off and then there's not this no man's land underneath the top.

Also, I read that as long as you wait 24 hours, you can cover the stain with water-based poly. I started doing that a few months ago. It works. Much easier to get out the gun and topcoat the whole piece at once.

Love the look of the pulls but are they functional? All the pulls I’ve been seeing seem undersized for normal hands.

I learnt that a good way of getting bruises out of wood, is to chuck a wet rag over the bruise and put an iron over it and it raises it, then wipe the whole panel with the rag , wait to dry then sand

Gorgeous, I have a similar one and might copy to some extent. Love the knobs, but I would like to see brown leather to play up wooden drawers. You do great work ! Love it! Glad you sold it for nice profit.

Brand new subscriber. This piece and several others I've watched came out great! Just one question. Do you not have trouble with swirl marks and burn through on veneer from sanding across the grain? I've been woodworking for a long time and just recently started getting into furniture flips. And that's always been the #1 rule. Never sand across the grain
