Perfect!! Awesome work.
So, how you eliminate the orange skin in a plastic bumper?
Many thanks in advance
another great vid
ОтветитьDoes the process work with the pre mix paint with the gloss enhancing in like in other vids
ОтветитьJust left a comment on your scratch video!! 😂
For the clear coat, do you only need to apply to just where the the chip was, or covering all that has been wet sanded?
Brilliant. Thank you
ОтветитьPicked up a new to me car this weekend, near side rear panel has been keyed about 6-8 inches, a previous owner has just touched it up but made a mess of it, obviously hasn’t gone to the lengths of this video, when the weather improves I’ll be using this tutorial to sort it. Thanks.
ОтветитьI wonder if the color is silver, will it work?
ОтветитьNICE!!
ОтветитьJust awesome job. 👍
From Sweden 🇸🇪
Stunning absolutely stunning... Cheers for sharing....
ОтветитьDoes it stay like this after car wash
ОтветитьGreat video mate! I was about to air brush the big chip on my bonnet but might try this first... Or would you use this method for base coat, or even primer and then base coat and spray the clear on with the air brush? I have never used it on my car before so any advice would be appreciated. Cheers mate!
ОтветитьWhat was the buffing compound you used at the end. I would love to detail my full car and fix a load of stone chips on it.
ОтветитьIs this something that most autobody shops should be able to do? My car was slightly scuffed by another car trying to park so I need a panel painted but I noticed a couple stone chips on other areas that I want fixed. I figure I could get it all done at once but a lot of online forums think to discuss how difficult it is to fill chips.
ОтветитьBut you said that was lacquer what about the urethane clear cost thicker than lacquer
ОтветитьI’ve done several chips this way. The final result is pretty good. The problem for me is that the repaired area has no orange peel. That may sound like a positive, but it’s not because the repaired area looks different than the rest of the panel.
ОтветитьBeautiful. Just what I needed.
ОтветитьBrilliant
ОтветитьWill this work with metallic paint? After covering the rock chips and spreading the paint around, would that ruin the metallic finish of the original paint?
ОтветитьThe problem im having is getting solvent based paint. Can only get "normal" (water based i assume) paint locally.
ОтветитьLooks like glass 😮
ОтветитьBang on m8, Most Excellent Video. Yea, gonna give it a go on the old juke door car park dings on mine now .
ОтветитьCan you list what grid of sandpaper is it
ОтветитьI hate lazy ass tutorials if you’re gonna make a video make the video in a professional way not this bullshit.
Ответитьjust ordered a kit from paint gear. Ive done some colour sanding and polishing as well as restoring headlights and motorcycle windscreens but havent tried this type of paint repair.
I have a couple of areas on a bike that i would like to have a go at. If you dont try you dont learn and if the worst comes to the worst I can always get them done professionally.
Regarding Tesla model ppsw paint, ive seen most companies selling as base 1st pearl 2nd, two bottles touch up paint, is there an all in one touch up paint for tesla?
ОтветитьGreat videos!! (And THANK YOU!!!) 1 question because I've always been scared to use a buffer on my paint (swirls and burning through the paint), is there a specific speed (RPM) you should use when making this type of repair. I would be using the buffer pad that hooks onto my drill. Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьReally good tip about going from the coarse to finer grade sandpaper and enlarging the area at the same time. I guess this creates the blending effect and most other videos I watched gloss over this detail. I also like how you used a buffer pad on a drill. I didn't know you could get results this good. I have a few scratches around my A pillar and inside the door frame where someone tried to jimmy open the door and they are such an eye sore, but I may attempt a repair. Hard to reach spots with a mechanical buffer.
Ответитьso no polishing the sand marks before adding clearcoat??
ОтветитьThis is probably the best car paint repair I've seen. Btw,what polish compound polish did you use?
ОтветитьHi! Planning to do it today, been postponing it as I'm a bit afraid (first-timer) to leave it worst. a) Do I have to mix the paint with thinner (as mentioned by the paint store)? b) Do I have to mix the clear coat with the activator (sold separately by the store as well, ratio 2:1)? c) If there's no wax remover in this country, could I clean the area with alcohol or easily available product before start the process? Thanks a lot!
ОтветитьDo you travel to Hawaii? 🤣🙏
ОтветитьI dunno if it's just me, I was waiting for a pan-out shot of the whole car seeing half of the car wrecked. 🤣 Great tip man!
ОтветитьThis has given me the confidence to tackle stone chips on my 'new-to-me' car. Am I right in thinking that proprietary "Rubbing Compound" become progressively finer and finer with buffing until a mirror finish is achieved?
ОтветитьAwesome results, great job 👍
ОтветитьWhat product did you use to polish
ОтветитьAbsolute game charger. I love your videos. Keep them coming 😎 . Where are you based in the uk? I'm only asking because i take it you have your own business
ОтветитьThe problem is, unless you constantly keep that area polished after every car wash, it will dull off & you will have a large mark that will looked scuffed. It’s a good tip, but for the perfectionist, the whole door needs spraying.
ОтветитьBloody brilliant!!
ОтветитьSuppose a bit of rust in the chip?
ОтветитьExcellent job. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьHoly cow
ОтветитьNice videos. I have been researching paint correction and repair for a bit now. People usually leave gaps about certain things but you answered all my unknowns. I feel like I can actually attempt it on my 93 corvette for a few deep rock chips that had been previously repaired but looked awful (all they did was just fill it with paint and it sticks out like a sore thumb). I’ll let you know how it goes.
ОтветитьSo after you put the wax lets say it rains or maybe someone washes it, will it show as dull like it was before and if not what makes the wax bring back to life the paint and clear coat and not make it compromise. I just need it explained in layman terms since im slow
ОтветитьMate I don’t know how to get hold of you, as you are not far from me judging by your accent. What’s your website called or do you have an instagram or something to get in touch, cheers matey!
ОтветитьHow much would something like this cost?
ОтветитьHello, I couldnt find the flat plastic piece you used to flatten the paint on your website. Where can I find it?
ОтветитьAmazing ……my 2016 Tucson is going to look great
ОтветитьThank you, fixing some chips on my front bumper and this was a great help.
ОтветитьWhat a legend! Cracking job
