Do not believe most people want to connect a separate device to their TV, most would want it on the TV so only ONE remote is needed. My 13 year old Sony "smartTV" turned dumb about three or four years ago when Amazon and Netlix decided not to keep the apps up. That forced me into a Roku. Not knocking ROKU it basically save the TV from a quick trip to the dump which would have been a shame since that TV still produces a fantastic 1080 picture. And due to that fact, I researched and my next two Sony TVs are Android.
So most would prefer to connect a ROKU or other device to keep their TV showing services not offered, but certainly not from day one.

Has anyone tried to "sideload" apps on a TV? Might be as easy as a smart phone....maybe, maybe not.

So in other words i have to spend 30 to 50 more dollars for something that should already be on my device??? Im good that's bullshit man its all about money money money and im kinda sick of it. I should be able to buy a smart tv and be able to at least watch Hulu bro. I hate big corporate offices. Its all about them and not the people they're trying to market to.

I was expecting a software solution instead of a buy a new hardware shortcut which I already can assume.

Adding a streaming device means I would now need two remote controls to watch TV. Not good.

Samsung’s remotes are the worst. Now I know I am not doing anything wrong while trying to install rumble, it’s Samsung. I will never buy it again now. I use firestick not ruku and I stream rumble just fine using that on Samsung. Annoying.

I cannot download 3rd party apps. My smart Samsung TV does not have a personal box to tick in order to play with the security to go to the next step. Is my tv just too old or is there another way to fix the problem. And when I buy another smart tv shall I just stay clear of Samsung?

i have an few yr old android sony tv and have had zero problems getting any apps. this samsung tv is terrible. the remote is hard to see and work. who does not have the hbo max app on a smart tv or at least have updated to be able to get it. i have all LG appliances and have heard that samsung has problems in that arena as well. glad i bought that sony.

Help!! i have a newer Samsung TV and was able to get the AMC+ App on it, BUT it doesn't have some functions on it like the View All Option like for finding every movie listed on Shudder... now my desktop, and smartphone have that option, what gives??

Maybe I should get Roku streaming stick 4k because two reasons: 1. My Bedroom & Living Room TV such as 2018 Samsung Smart TVs are in PODS Storage which is in South Florida. 2. I have older Samsung Smart TV from New Kings Road Atlantic Self Storage which doesn’t have airplay support + it have less apps than newer smart tvs or newer streaming devices does.

I go to the Samsung apps icon but there is no search bar icon where I can push it so I can type in what app I want to download where would I find this it's like a magnifying glass sort you know what I'm talking about it's on a lot of it's got a circle and then a line under the circle diagonally would you be able to help me out with this and tell me where I can find this icon

Then why buy a new smart tv just so you can hook up a streaming device to it.
That’s why most want to buy a new tv.
