Repair and Fix Hard Drive and Disk Errors

I am using windows 7 n my infernal hard disk is 1TB..... Recently I got some error so I did same in cmd run as administrator check disk.... So after restarting system check disk started... But I got a problem on 5th stage it is showing n running files as below :

Replacing invalid security Id with default security id for file 1 to it is going on .....now 1 to 1185997...still running
Plz help what should I do now.... It means my hard disk should be replaced or plz help me to recovery.... I don't want any recovery but I want my hard disk should become NEW" plz helm me

OK fixed my "data error (cyclic redundancy check). Type cmd and run as administrator by right clicking on cmd when it appears. when ur cmd is up type chkdsk D: /F ...D colon is the hard drive you want fixed and forward slash F is to fix it....This fixed my external hard drive..took 20 mins. Originally my corrupt drive letter read Local disc F: and shouldve read Samsung F: which it did when I ran. TO REITERATE TYPE THIS chkdsk D: /F cheers and have an efficient day :)

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with this process. I restarted my laptop and it's scanning and repairing my device. But it's been stuck at 24% and not doing anything now. But the wheel is still going around. By the percentage is still the same. I'm afraid to turn it off or do anything. Any suggestions??

I've fixed this problem just right click the drive you will choose then > properties > tools > Check now > automatically fix file system errors > start . You're welcome :)

I have two hard drives with a cap of 250GB but only one appears ,the other one doesn't pop anywhere ,now the only one that works gets repaired once in a while ,an icon pops in the notification and it says "Data volume is being verified and repaired"

I cant find the wininit source. Used the find tool, nothing detected. Also tried doing the scan multiple times to see if it just hadnt worked the first time. Still couldnt find the chkdsk logs

Be aware that if it finds and repairs errors that all problems are not forever gone.

In my experience in time errors appear again on the same drive. It can take a while before that happens, but it will happen. Therefore, if not done already: backup important files on that drive as soon as you can on another drive and consider replacing the drive for a new one. By the time you encounter messages that you have to format your drive, or the drive has becoming RAW, or even has a CRC error it can be too late to salvage the contents.

Remember that a drive is easier to replace than non backed up data on it.

Hi Abhi my desktop showing black screen after start. Only motherboard name showing then it doesn't enter in windows 7. cpu and other led lights working but doesn't disply anything.
