Thank you for this information. Please, if I dont live in the US but have a PhD and publications, do I need to have work experience or post doc? Someone told, people outside US must have post doc or work experience while such requirements are not for people in the US.

Do you need tp be working to file the application? You mentioned being asked about your job, if you would ever leave, employment verification, etc. What if you are a current PhD student filing based on your masters degree?

I applied for my EB2 NIW visa and sent it through using DHL - but it has been more than 2 weeks and I have not heard anything. Not even the receipt number for the application. Is it normal? I applied from outside the US.

How much did you spend on it ?

Do they ask if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend in the States? Or relatives there?

I am applying from Nigeria, do I need I-485? Also, do I send my documents to somewhere in Nigeria or US? Can we submit I-693 with I-140? So we wait for interview after we send in I-I40?
