ОтветитьThose Grapes look amazing pigs look good can't wait to see how everything comes out
ОтветитьIt's the most wonderful of the year! The vines are looking good Shane. Hugs to Y'all Ü
ОтветитьI love your laugh. This is my first year with muscadines and you are my prime source of information. Thanks
ОтветитьYou are like that bunny 🐇 who beats a bass drum 🥁 with boundless energy.
I'll have whatever you are on.😂🔥
There's ice on the ground here. Come on spring!
Tell Kim'nem I said hello.
Now the real pruning begins.
My oldest vines are in Columbus at my family place where my daughter is living until she finishes college. Some of those vines are 50+ years old and they grow along a fence row that has grown up over the years. The vines send runners way up in the trees every year. I have to take hedge trimmers and hack my way in just so I can prune them and, by fall, they will be right back up in the trees. 2 more days left in deer season and then I'll tackle those rascals.
I got all the vines here at the farm pruned last week. We only had 2 vines that died but, like you, had a few that didn't thrive. We have all the muscadines we need but plan to add about a dozen new fruit trees this month. A couple of different figs and pears for sure.
Sometimes we just have to go in a different direction. We kept 18 quail but are considering exiting that adventure as well. We just don't eat them enough. Las tonight we had smoked chicken, that we raised, with collard greens and yellow squash that we raised topped with pepper sauce that we made.
We are bringing in a new puppy next week so another adventure will begin.
How much longer will you keep Jessie? Seems like he should have done his duties by now but I know less than nothing about swine husbandry.
You make working the grapes look so easy. 🤟🏼
ОтветитьHeck yeah getting ready for Spring, I'm soooo ready 😃👍... The pigs look way better than they did 👊.... BTW I love your new profile logo pic!! ❤️❤️
ОтветитьEverything looks amazing my friend yur gardens are gonna be perfect thumbs up my friends
ОтветитьI’m not sure of chapter and verse but in the Old Testament the people were told not to eat the fruit of new vines and fruit trees for the first three years. This was to allow them to put down roots and become established.
I always think of the verse that tells us the Lord prunes those he loves and he loves all of us.
Thanks for all the information and the tour. Good video!
ОтветитьI bought 2 grapevines the other day. Not muscadines but a Seedless Flame table grape. I gotta decide where I am going to plant them and get them in.
ОтветитьAwesome tips. My dad loves muscadines.
ОтветитьShane the Muscadines look Awesome! Ol Uncle Jessy is a Hoss son! Y'all have a great day! Yert 🤟
ОтветитьExcited to see more muscadines! Do you recycle or reuse the harder plastic portions? Those of us with fewer vines are drooling over the opportunity to root new plants. 😁 guess it’s better to get them up to production. Going to shoot you a message about a few things.
Ответитьlots of cleaning going on maybe the shed too ???? luv ya lots hugssssssss
ОтветитьHello from Minnesota!
ОтветитьAlways learning, bud. Love seeing Uncle Jesse and Girls - but I think you knew that already. After these next two weekends are finished up… time to get my southern grapes 🍇 in the ground brother. We’ll take a look this Friday at where you think I should put them
