I watched this when I was 25, right before I got pregnant. It spoke to me so profoundly and even more so once I found out I was going to become a parent.
Yesterday I turned 30. My hope is that all of the garbage I fished from the lake of my personality in my latter 20s continues to help me thrive in my 30s. Also, younger me and current me are so fucking proud of me.
Thanks for great jokes, Taylor ❤
I absolutely hated my 20s!
Ответитьthats fair and yeah that is pretty much what i miss about my 20s is being thinner, not having chronic pain and the fact that i could drink alcohol without having to sleep through the entire next day to recover
Ответить"And if they say Starbucks on them I swear to God Taylor"😂😂😂😂
Ответить"thinner garbage but you were garbage"😂😂😂 why is that so funny?
ОтветитьWinter is coming....fuck, that is gold.
ОтветитьI love her. She tells it how life really is.
Ответитьshe has a baby face, she should have babys, it will cure her.
ОтветитьI love this comedian! DEFINITELY TAKES ME OUT OF MY DARK PLACE. Thank you for the gut wrenching laughs
ОтветитьThinner garbage , I became fatter garbage, after one year I spent in college I started putting on the pounds, when I was in high school, I had a hard time gaining weight, I was so skinny that if I played football I would have not made the team for being as skinny as a toothpick. When I got to college and I started putting on the pounds , I looked in the mirror and said to myself who the hell are you? I have a friend who is in his 40's he has a high metabolism, could eat a whole large pizza and not gain a pound, I look at a pizza and I feel like 5 lbs went to my stomach.
ОтветитьPerspective of someone in their 20s who thinks they cannot change after age 30.
Her presumptions are false.
The standard female fear of turning 30.
love this woman
ОтветитьAt this point, pretty sure my list of top three stand-ups at this moment in time is all chicks. Christopher Hitchens would not agree. But he's dead, and man, that guy did not make good use of his 20's. Or alcohol. Not for want of trying on the latter, though.
No particular order. Not even alphabetical.
Taylor Tomlinson
Liz Miele
Fern Brady
I couldn't even tell you who's funniest. Not when I'm laughing, anyway.
And there's plenty more where that came from. These are just my three favorites right now. And just stand-up. Not the only form of comedy worth perusing.
So suck on that, Hitch. Wherever you be.
I felt attacked when she said go to the dollar tree don’t use Starbucks napkins… ( I’m 21 and I keep napkins that I don’t use from all places. Don’t judge me. It saves money. If I use them I do throw them away.
ОтветитьIn your 20s its fun, in your 30s its a meeting 😅
ОтветитьYour so great ooh your like golden fried potatoes with a steak on fine china not paper plates!!!!.
ОтветитьIn 20s at least u have a choice. The moment as a single af woman u enters thirties, ur entire physiology totally shits down. U thought u were broken n depressed n angry in ur teens, 20s, enter 30s n it totally absolutely shuts n it is fking irreversible without buckloads of meds.
ОтветитьAs a dad in my 30s, you couldn't pay me enough to get me to go back to being single in my 20s.
ОтветитьThat's the best Ted talk I've seen
ОтветитьIn your 30s, you are more confident with the opposite gender, but your back hurts 😅
ОтветитьBruh 😂😂😂she literally described my fears
ОтветитьAs a person in their 40s, I miss it so much
ОтветитьIt's good material, and it's funny, but also sad. I lived through my 20's quite a while ago. I was not an idiot. I knew when I didn't know something, and I didn't pretend to know. I looked into what I didn't know so that I would know. I asked for advice or information. I started a family. I provided for my family. I fixed things to save money over paying someone to do it. Of course without having much life experience there is plenty you don't know, but I was aware of that then. When you are 20 it is time to be ab adult. It is totally up to you if you are going to do that, or shy away from it. If you shy away from it, there is no complaining about life.
ОтветитьConfirms my idea that I only want to have the body I had in my mid-20s but certainly not my state of mind from back then.
ОтветитьSo true lmao, it really is like this weird inbetween where you're just half adult half kid and it makes no sense. ah well at least we're in decent health right ppl?
ОтветитьShe is just so good!
Ответить10 years of wondering if you will ever be enough in life. 10 years of being in poverty and being talked down to. I can't wait until my 30s.
ОтветитьOh sure, now ya tell me about the lake fishing as I am pushing 40.. a lotta help ya are Taylor .... Geez! A decade too late😂
ОтветитьWell it sucks even more when you’re in your forties and expected to have your shit together and still don’t.
ОтветитьMy 20s was my decade of utter self-hatred, scattered poorly-paying employment, and constant failures to enter a profession that I should not have been involved in. I am NOT going back to that.
ОтветитьOh man I’m 24 and this hits way too hard 🤣 fishing out the bad bits before the lake freezes over is such a good metaphor
ОтветитьThat's why most people Never just wish for youth again, they wish to be young and still know what they know Now.
ОтветитьCurrently in my 20s still asking when the fun happens
Ответитьok... you're saying this only because you haven't experienced the next phases...believe me, then she'll go back to saying how great it was
Ответить"Dry ones this time." 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьCome to our pastryarchy meetings
Ответить"Winter is coming!!"
ОтветитьOMG that was fun.
ОтветитьYeah no Taylor, Some of us weren't garbage in our 20's. Some of us were serving our country smh. Project much?
ОтветитьI’m 22 right now. I feel that sense of responsibility and self discovery HARD. I’ve failed very one of my relationships and even rejected good ones for the sake of lack of knowledge and self love. I feel I haven’t truly given myself that love i deserve and need. I can’t seem to keep my emotions in check or have a decent week without me feeling useless. It’s a rough one not going to lie. Just thinking I’m going to grow up and this will all eventually be figured out and I will be better gives me this sense of dread and anxiety that “what will that person be?”
Will I like this person? Will I be better as this person?
Look I go to gym and actually have a life but I feel it’s not a life I deserve? Like that self love part just throws a wrench into things.
It’s hard to love when you don’t know how to.
I’m content. I’m not happy. I know I’ll get there and be fine but right now, I’m just surviving and trying not to break.
I’m terrified of these traits “freezing over” so that part actually hit home.
Regardless amazing clip and Taylor is just phenomenal
I'm 56 and can confirm that she's not wrong.
I miss being young and healthy but I don't miss being stupid. 😅
Listen to me, you whippersnappers! I’m 69 and she’s right and funny as hell, IM-not-so-HO! ✌️
Ответить"Go to a Dollar Tree, stop ruining Easter" highly underrated line😆
ОтветитьLove, love, love Taylor!
Well done!
Taylor is awesome❤❤
ОтветитьShe hit that perfectly. Catching it before it freezes over..Holy shit..lmao
ОтветитьThere’s no accounting for taste
