Farming the best SNIPER RIFLE in FALLOUT 4 (Instigating Gauss Rifle) - Live Gameplay

I've always gone for two-shot on my Gauss Rifle's, there's just something special about one-shotting half of the enemies in very hard.

I think explosive shotgun is my favorite. But I think this is the highest possible single shot ballistic damage possible on a weapon.

I think two shot is the better legendary effect. Just annoying that if the enemy has suffered even 1 point of damage from anything else, the instigating effect no longer works. Two shot just covers all your bases better. And you can still one shot pretty much anything with a sneak crit.

instigating is also good for knives with the ninja perk, that way you get the cool assassin animation, I've never gotten it on a disciples blade but I imagine with blitz and a stealth boy you can take out entire rooms without anyone noticing you.

Can you do this method after killing all the raiders in nukatown?

currently farming Revere Beach station for a laser musket while listening to this, great location has 9 radroaches right there. I would reccomend

2 shot is better

I'm playing a melee focused character for the first time and the blade that Nesha gives you is an instigating dagger. It's Super OP.

I mean you mine as well just use console commands to spawn the rifle in since your playing on very hard and save you the farm time.

I think the two shot Gauss Rifle is better than Instigating since Instigating does double damage only if the enemy is max health but two shot deals close to double damage but happens all the time

You should invest in the perk that eliminates limb damage

6 or 7 hours yesterday and I never got an explosive shotgun, never even got a shotgun, however today I found a shotgun only two reloads later so now I’m finally going to get an explosive shotgun

Slightly unrelated but how do you get sneak 4x, I can only get 3.5x from the Ninja perk

The explosive combat shotgun is nice, but I got an explosive double barrel that’s real fun to use.
Also an explosive minigun, just... don’t use it in VATS. Lol. For some reason, when I kill an enemy in VATS with the boom boom mini, the body ends up rocketing off into the distance. It’s hilarious, but then I gotta go hunt it down to get the loot.
As for the Gauss, I’m a 2 shot fan myself. I know instigating does more damage at full health, but I find 2 shot does more all around, since I travel with companions I don’t always get the first shot off.
For the flamer, I’d go with either kneecapper or wounding. Because the damage ticks are so frequent, you cripple legs in no time, and stack the bleed effect just as fast. Other than those, the flamer is pretty useless.

I didn’t even know you could get legendary western revolvers. That’s pretty cool. Never ending or vats enhanced would be pretty nice on one of those

Hey, late comment but the enemies arent there for me, just some ghouls near the tank, but no raiders disciples super mutants so on. Is there any part of the main quest i have to do first?

I got a pistol and ring from mod that does 1000 damage ring gives me 50000storage and also got a cheat armor what makes me résistance to all damage and radiation i dont even need an armor
