First off I live in vacaville and had a kid at cooper during this incident. She was no “monster” she had severe dementia and literally thought the boy was her son. It was disclosed to the parents in the district. Frightening? Yes!!! But she wasn’t a predator.

Like the boy on oxygen whose mother saved him when the power went out I had a similar experience. I remember my family at a neighbors pool party. I had a life vest I had to wear as I was 5 years old and could not swim. The pool was crowded and I had just finished getting a drink. I had taken the vest off and gone to the diving board, I would run and launch myself into the deep end of the pool. With my vest I would sink then bob right up. This time I sank to the bottom and did not start to rise back up. Oh no! I forgot to put my vest back on. I was down there for what seemed like forever then heard a whooomp above me and my mother was there pulling me to the surface. I don't know how she was on me so fast, but she saved my life. Then 25 years later I was walking with my little son. He was 4 years old. He suddenly darted into traffic of a busy avenue. Cars were coming and were driving 50 miles an hour, I lunged for him and caught the tail of his shirt and pulled him back just as a car was about to hit him. I know it saved his life.
