Everyone cries about Dark Souls 2 being the worst, but its really because they couldn’t have their hand held through the game by an overpowered friend. Yes theres alot of stuff that needs change but theres alot of stuff that I wish the other games had from this one. Either way its still better than any other game simply for being a dark souls game

Best souls game in my opinion. DS1 has less variety and the world is much less interesting while DS3 changed the combat system to a more arcadeish approach and lost its essence. DS2, despite its flaws, it's a fantastic experience and has amazing replayability.

Im just gonna use this as a guide for every boss location as well as all the estus stuff. And its all in 8 hours. God bless you!

I played this game when it first released, and loved both helping and summoning when the playerbase was HUGE and all of us were learning. Its my fave of the DS series.

this was my first Souls game and I love it. Finished 1, 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring then recently Demon's Souls. Went back playing this game and I just noticed the controls were clunky and there are dead zones. Search about this and this was a long time problem for DS2 that there's a PC mod for it. I guess this is one of the reason why the community hated this game. Still i'm going for the platinum trophy and i'm glad it was my first if not it's possible I would have backlog this because of the controls.

Do i need to play the first game before i play this????

I think I died more times in DS2 than Elden Ring. Why do people say Elden Ring is the hardest? I think DS2 was the hardest, no bc of the bosses but bc of the enemies in certain areas of the game. Black Gulch, and the Gutter were an absolute nightmare for me. I can't think of an area in Elden Ring where I got stuck as bad as I did in the areas I mentioned.
