Damn dude hoy are the reason I have get into bags and want to start a Chanel for my country!!! I have bought a bunch of bags that help me in my daily life all because of the great feedback you give and so far my favorite is the peakdesign all black 30 lt and the boundary line just second for a small margin

Your idea of how someone who gets the tom bihn will disregard it but then one day get around to using it all the time by accident is so perfect. It made me laugh as I totally see it working out like that!

Just took the Invisible Backpack 2 to California. Had it packed to the max with iPads, snacks, books and stuff for the kids. Also my um, papers, my travel papers man. And it did a great job. Was going to use the GR1 but I needed more organization.

Nice video as usual. Any chance you’ll review the modular offering from Wool and Oak one of these days? Looks very interesting, but I can’t decide if their backpack straps are going to be comfortable and durable or not...

Not allowed in hand luggage for departure from EU/UK airports - screwdriver, hammer, pliers, wrench or spanner. The TSA approved Leatherman PS has scissors, pliers and a nail file with a screwdriver head. The other tools in the range with TSA approval would be considered a spanner and so not allowed. Small scissors are allowed through the airport control, but not by the airline. Check every airport you travel through and every airline you will use.

Seems like 24 litres is that perfect size for considered EDC. Triple Aught Design released an Axiom24, which quickly replaced my Axiom18 which was a bit small.

I have the CPL 24 and while it's not perfect, it's far and away the best bag I've ever owned. It feels way tougher than I am and works perfectly for daily carry as well as for my one bag travel. I just got back from a 16 day trip to Japan where it was the only thing I brought and carried it every single day. Super comfy, my shoulders never hurt, it beaded a bit of rain (not a full on Southeast Asia deluge), and is super quick to get stuff in and out on the go without stopping via the side access. 10/10 - high recommend as well.

Will be interested if you try the Xiaomi Geometric backpack, look well design with nice materials and it's cheap 80$, that will change from all this awesome but expensive bags :D

Maybe I drink water more than other folks, but having the bottle compartment inside the bag (Synapse, for example), makes no sense to me. If you are trying to get through an airport quickly and need a swig, an external pocket means you can just reach back, grab your bottle, and keep going. If it's internal, you really have slow down, maybe swing the bottle around, etc.

Chase, glad you included the Topo Designs Travel Bag on the site. I got the redesigned 40L and it is awesome. Love it's durability and design, plus it has travel bag attachment clips so you can hook a smaller bag on the outside (if you want). The Topo Designs commuter briefcase, daypack, core pack, etc. all have these hooks. It's a fantastic system if you need it. (I try and pack in just the 40L with the daypack stowed. If I get souvenirs or the kids can't repack all their stuff, I've got some extra room.) And before anyone slams the colors, you can get it in black.

Hey Chase, the Errant looks like it packs sorta flat when empty. Say I had a big travel bag like the Setout or Peak Design and wanted to bring something more substantial than the YNOT or Tortuga packable daypack for my week-long business trip when I’m living out of a hotel and need to walk several blocks each day with my Macbook, iPad Pro, and business papers. Is it possible to flat pack the Errant inside a big travel bag or would I do better to just bring it as a personal item along with a travel pack as a “two bag carry” system?

I just spent a week in Italy with the Evergoods CPL24 and it was the perfect bag. I also brought the Tom Bihn Aeronaut 45. I was so impressed with the CPL24 that I just pre-ordered the Evergoods Civic Transit 40 and plan to use it in place of my Aeronaut 45.
