I attended two home games here in So Cal at USC. He will throw instead of getting hit! It might have been the "don't get hurt in college thing" but it was obvious and discussed on the radio shows.

I think he did okay with a situation that everyone hyped up before the season, then somehow became awful when he didn't hit the ground running like Jayden Daniels.

I still think short QBs are always going to be somewhat limited & at a disadvantage. In a great QB class, I anticipate he'll be the 3rd or so best QB. No shame in that.

I think Daniels, Maye, & McCarthy have more upside, Williams has a higher floor than McCarthy - but Nix & Penix aren't too far behind.

He's a QB prospect 10-12 teams would LOVE to have, but I don't think he's some "generational talent" like he was billed—not by any means. Being the 2nd+ best QB in your class & "being generational" is a contradictory notion.

The bears have been rebuilding since 1985

I think the first play illustrates one of the main issues with QBs that come from an Air Raid system. Specifically Kliff Kingsbury and Lincon Riley systems. His primary instinct is to improvise rather than process the play. He could have hit the quick slant route but reading that was not his priority. He was more concerned with not getting hit and extending the play than committing to a route that he should have known his receiver was running

This kid will be an all time bear great, if he accepts the challenge. A historic team that hasn’t been relevant for years. Can he own it? He has all the talent, but so did a lot of amazing colleg players that come into the NFL. The line has finally gotten the attention in free agency and a few decent picks to creat some depth. We have good receivers and a decent running backfield. But Calex Williams has to want it, all the greats have that common dna, they are leaders and find ways to motivate and lead, it ain’t about records and yardage, that will come. Bear down!!!

For Caleb Williams did with a bad HC and still get those good numbers is crazy. He's gonna be a great QB soon.

Deep shots were NOT a strength for Caleb in college. he was the least accurate deep passer in division 1 in his senior season.

I think the offense was so messed up, it's hard to analyze the film of last season.

His touch down to interception rate explains all you need to know the bears is in great hands 💯

I am a biased fan. I’m a fan of the Bears and I want him to work out very very much so take what I’m saying with a bit of a grain of salt. He did have some very low lows, missing open routes and overthrowing deep balls especially early in the season but I think the Bears had one of if not the worst coaching staff one of the worst offensive coordinators in a very inconsistent and injury riddled offensive line. Those are all things I think they got way better at in the off-season plus, I think he was pretty good as a rookie get over three to one touchdown to interception ratio hit over 4000 all purpose yards and he made some eye popping throws during the season. I think he is going to be a great quarterback. His biggest issue was hero ball exactly like Justin Fields. If not a little worse he just doesn’t like to throw that ball away for nothing and he takes way too many sense but the office of line got a lot better and I think Ben Johnson having a Quaker paste more simplified offense and having quick easy place to start games to get him in a groove, which was his Ripton night last year he always was a slow starter and then played better later into the game I think Ben Johnson can turn him into a gem but that is my opinion as a biased bears fan so 😅 but I did watch every single game so I’ve gotten to see as much. Caleb Williams as any other person has.

I think the rookie played well, like a rookie. I think he will continue to learn and improve under Ben Johnson. Caleb seems to be a very dedicated student of the game.

Caleb is an awful deep ball thrower and holds the ball way too long. Poor accuracy + poor internal clock are flaws that rarely significantly improve

I wanna see analysis on the niners game, or cards game, or hawks game, or pats game. Those were the real kickers

Deep throws were not a strength of Calebs in college, he has always sucked at the long ball.
