PPF withdrawal and closure rules | How to withdraw money from the PPF after and before 15 years

Hi Sir , I opened my PPF account in July 1998 and contentious deposited amount. Even deposited 1.5 Lacs in April-23 also. Total Corpus is 10 Lacs ( 8.5 Lacs including interest in March-2023 and added 1.5 Lacs in April-24 ) and the account was extended till 2028 without my concurrence with a view since i deposited the money and they extended .. Suddenly i need the money to pay fee to my daughter for higher education. Please suggest me the calculations as per the latest rules.

My Dad opened PPF account in 2000 for my daughter when she was born in US ( he passed away in 2015). He kept adding money to her account on my behalf from my NRO account in India between 2000 to 2009 . Did not take any tax deductions as there was no income in India. We applied to close this account in GPO since two years in 2021 and no action is being taken. GPO's PPF office kept her account closure application, passbook and her ID documents. What can we do?

5 years condition is from the first deposit or separately for each deposit?

For example, I made my first deposit of ₹1L on 5-3-2018 and kept investing ₹ 1L every year.

Balance on 31-3-20 = 3,00,000 (1L + 1L + 1L)
(Assuming no interest for simplicity)

Will I be eligible to withdraw 50% of 1,00,000 or 50% of 3,00,000 in FY 2023-24?

Suppose someone does nothing.. after 15 yrs
What will happen then

You mentioned the extension can happen within 1 year of PPF maturity. So someone misses that then there's no way to extend and contribute to the account even after first 5 year block?

I have opened ppf account on 11/09/2008 with bank. Now I have some questions. Please clarify :-
1. Can I withdraw my full corpus on 11/09/2023 or 01/04/2024 ?
2. If it is withdrawable on 11/09/2023, Will the bank pay the interest for the period from 01/04/2023 to 10/09/2023 ?
3. If it is not withdrawable on 11/09/2023, Will the bank pay the interest for the period from10/09/2023 to 31/03/2024 on 01/04/2024 ?

I think people need to build some homes and pay some taxes to realise there is no bubble. Not some graph charting and playing with numbers. There is a split in asset class and gap where there are people that can afford homes and people who can’t afford homes and nothing is being built to accommodate lower income families. If prices were to fall developers will hold on project till it makes sense to build. That will put upward pressures on the prices.

If you close your acct at maturity of 15 years, withdraw money. Can you open new acct if you are senior citizen?

My PPF, after several 5 year extended blocks, matured on 18th March 2023. They paid full interest upto 31.3.23. When I went to withdraw the full amount on 14th April, 2023, the bank SBI didn't pay any interest from 1st April to 14th April, 2023. Is this correct ?
