Great video Kieran. Looking forward to Chester 2. Can highly recommend Harkers pub at the bottom of the steps from City Road down on to the canal if you need a quick pit stop when doing part 2.

To anyone reading, Chester is a great day out. The racecourse itself has a great feeling. You can waltz around all parts of grandstand and the course.👍

Am from Cardiff/Somerset so you should come on down one day and enlighten us! Curious about the WW11 iron railings removal, It happened here too but I defo remember hearing in a documentary many years ago (I'm 63) that it was only a way to make people feel like they were helping and that the iron couldn't be recycled????

Fascinating, when you mentioned the lighthouse you reminded me of hale and the giant which would make a good bimble if not already done? Nice place Chester I spent my courting days there. My old fella did a painting of that suspension bridge and Chester University awarded him an honorary doctorate.

Wow, I’ve lived in Chester all my life (baring 7 years away in the military). Never knew any of what you said even though I’ve been to every place featured.

Side note, my mrs great great great great granddad opened the grovsner bridge and has his name on a plaque. You didn’t feature that though, awful for cyclists.

Visited Chester about 15 years ago coming from Dublin I was blown away by the beautiful Tudor buildings always mean to visit again. Lovely English city.

Having recently discovered this channel, I'm steadily working my way through the video library and I'm really enjoying them!
