Accepted a job in Mesa. Starting after the new year. I'm so excited! If y'all have any advice on brunch spots, im here for it.

Any suggestions on finding employment? Do employers in Phoenix hire people waiting to relocate?

My family and I are hoping to relocate to AZ by next fall. We are interested in Gilbert mainly, but also open to Chandler and Mesa. Do you see much diversity in these cities? We are a mixed race family and moving somewhere diverse is important to us after living in a predominantly white city.

I hear you, my wife and I moved to AZ in 2022, rented for six months in Gilbert then bought a house in San Tan, although we initially wanted to buy in Gilbert/Queen Creek, it just wasn't in the cards, so we had to make adjustments to our wants and needs. Even tho the market is crazy, there was small window of affordability for everything we needed and a little bit of what we wanted. We got aggressive without breaking the bank and it worked out. Several months later as homeowners, no regrets, we love our home, our community and we spend a lot of time in Queen Creek, Gilbert, Tempe and once a month, phoenix and scottsdale. Can't wait for you guys to become homeowners, it'll be special

You are telling the truth about the renting vs buying. Renting isn't cheap anymore, but when you buy a house you have to be prepared for all the expenses not included when you rent. If something goes wrong, no landlord to call.

The good thing is we got a,lot of rain last Winter and with the snowpack melting in the mountIns, Lake Powell and Lake Mead are rising pretty rapidly. You should check out some of the smaller lakes up in the mountains around Payson sometime too.

I would love to visit that town y’all was in. What’s the name of it?

I live in California, have a job offer for the state of AZ. Tentative start date is in October. I’ve been looking for a place to rent. Is it common for renters to be required to have liability insurance? I’ve never heard of such thing.
