95% of ALL State Criminal cases are Plea Bargained. Why ?????? Not because of Snitches, but because the State does not have the financial resources to fight every case.

Despite what CBS wants you to believe, in reality the testimony of a jailhouse informant isn't the only piece of evidence. The use is attacked by the defense and the jury makes a decision. This story doesn't spend much time interviewing jurors. You know why? Because juror would say "we aren't stupid, we had more to consider than the testimony of another felon and yes, we know they get time off or some sort of perquisite."

I don't see anything wrong with the cops using prisoners to get info on another prisoners unsolved case . That seems like an old law stuck in place that makes no sense, as long as they're informant is giving accurate information in that information can be proved without a doubt

The story about CIs. The police cant do their job. They go after small time drugs & use them as bait for bigger fish. When it goes wrong, then they act like that small drug case lead them down that path. Its this type of rhetoric that shows the public that the police have to mucb power. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The police NEVER have your best interest in mind. Nine out of ten times when the person wearing the wire thinks they’ve been made, they’ve been made. Every time the cop will say, “you’re just being paranoid”, “you watch too much TV”, or my favorite “Don’t worry I’ve got you covered, I will bring them down before anything happens.”
These narcotic cops are parasites. The vast majority are junkies and thieves. Their job gives them access to the drugs AND the money. They bust someone that has $15,000 and half a pound of pot on them and let them go with warning. Or they record they found $500 and 2 joints. Not bad for a nights work.

many cases are won and fought because of jailhouse snitches and we could argue if people receive true justice.our system is very flawed.we have a very active informant program in this country and very serious crimes are committed and criminal people let out early not to the benefit of society at large.
