❤good Job❤
ОтветитьFunny how the algorithm reveals your deepest thoughts through Josh Homme's voice at 3 am on a Thursday morning. Very insightful.

ОтветитьThis and the theo von interview on Triggenometry are some of my favorite of really good interviews that were worth an hour watch 🎉
ОтветитьCrystal = "..Leaning Forward..."
So true.
Focused & engaged yet detached.
Been there.😅
what frustrates me the most is that todays people's crushdepth is at "wow, he also snorts stuff to ramp up his broken ego, just like me, i love this" . They gave in, they dont want to see if they can find power within themselves ( iam not talking about cali über alles, now openly proxy nazism altright esoteric yoga shit) power to withstand the length of a day and your thoughts and problems without the use of drugs even if you do not make it. they stopped with that evolution, dont pursue critical perspectives, or obviously not enough to not advocate for snorting. For me there is only two types of people , people like Kurt(drugs suck, one day i gonna stop) and Courtney (drugs are cool i even slur my words and rub my tits against you before i started shooting up) And i know first hand who of those you can trust. And i hate the Dilemma to have the feeling "Common lets sit down with uncle Homme, cant wait to see what he has to say just to crash against this "brick wall""
Kurt is like a guy with problems that wants to be loved and falls into a trap. And Courtney is the kid that gets anything anyway and just sees the surface of it and glorifies the gloom without the abillity of critical thoughts or motives for or against it. Like a fan, or a stalker. Or in other words, these are now the names i came up with, without thinking much. One is shooting to defend himself and another person shoots at people for fun. And i believe once you are the latter without realizing what you just do you are "full retard" and i think thats not something to pursue.
Thank you for this, Neal. It's beyond words how helpful this sort of conversation is to me, as well as a ton of other people, I'm sure.
ОтветитьThanks Josh for your honesty. It musta took a lot of balls to be so candid. Great music 🎶. It pulled me through shit as well. So to you and the rest of QOTSA. Thank you
Ответитьgreat interview. I love listening to josh h talk....but I can't help but think when he speaks in such clever similes and euphemisms he's further romanticizing and trying to perfect everything, even his pain and recovery. I know there is realness there, but I cant help but still see a performative element, and I think Neal sometimes sees it.
ОтветитьTHIS is exactly the kind of interview Neal should do
ОтветитьThey are pushing drugs like the tattooed face hiphop gays that dominate the music at the moment with satan videos. You can believe their script or understand the world links back to the beginning 2023AD ITS AD FOR A REASON. THE MUSIC THE FILM LAW POLITICAL SYSTEM IS ROME ITS ALL ROME AND ROME KILLED JESUS. HEY IF THEH FOUND THE ARK YOU WOULD THINK TV WOULD MENTION IT ONCE IN 40 YEARS RIGHT? WELL THEH DIDNT THEY PUSHED SATANISM. THE LUCIS TRUST FORMERLY KNOWN AS LUCIFER PUBLISHING RUN THE UN WHICH RUNS YOUR LIFE.
ОтветитьThe agony of holding on is too much to bear. Fuck that rings true. Thanks man. Emdr has been helping me grow. Im a vet and Im getting alot of good feedback from inside and outside our community.
ОтветитьI love hearing Homme talk live and breath art and poetry the man is a legend self aware, intelligent, introspective, cerebral, cool af and I've been feeling this from his music for years really cool to hear him talk
ОтветитьDressing up a little portrait of the individual who used to be a sort of musical model of mine, many moons ago.
I used to love Josh Homme and the Queens, but I'll be damned if there isn't something that is off about him. Just by listening to the way he talks especially in the first half when he isn't quite warmed up, his constant grasping for words, all these candy floss figures of speech that are but egotistic verbal habits, only now in the context of a supposedly serious conversation. And the man has the nerve to quote Carl Jung. All pose and very little substance.
His whole persona is about sounding cool.
The bravado... "that seems to be your whole thing"
Ethos on risk is dubious, I'm not even sure whether it's posing or he does believe it. There's no point in controlling chaotic behavior? For a man who exerts so much control over himself, that just doesn't click.
He's like a commander in chief of girdled disorder, making him a chosen heir of the punk rock ethos.
If that's him being as open and honest as he can get, the man's just a bad clam. It pains me to see that it's where he's at after having gone through these hardships He's really one of the most inflated musicians in the genre, and he still remains an extremely vulnerable person if you can see through the mask. So ironic for a podcast that's supposed to deal with deeper themes than usual for a rockstar. Wish the interviewer wouldn't have been that compliant, a lot of going along, he seems to see through from afar at times but lacks the confidence not to buy it all.
All the more ironic is the fact he knows it, he has the awareness of what's been going on in him. The sleights of hand, the armor that his bag of tricks is isn't over and done, only he thinks he's past it because that would mean admitting he's been in it for so long, and that there's probably more undoing to be carried out than he could bear to imagine.
"the nuclear codes are complicated" are they?
If you indulge in a lifetime of such dubious ethos as "willful stupidity", it would only make sense that they are.
Pushing the regret buttons would likely tear him to pieces.
On the positive side of things he seems to get comedy and he has a righteous stance freedom of speech. Honest remarks on ostracization and active listening as well.
I bet he would've made a better comedian.
Josh ultimately can't afford to show himself. He may be more honest in his lyrics, which I would believe. He bought his own romanticizing.
"that's what queens has to offer: willful stupidity"
"revelation's not for everybody"
hahahaha
Damn bro was a methy 😢
ОтветитьAs a fellow speed freak dabbler in remission, its been clear to me from his lyrics that he enjoyed getting spun out. That shit is evil though but glad to hear him speak about it. First it giveth then it taketh away
ОтветитьIve been a fan of JH for years, and this is one of the best interviews ive heard with him. Its funny, you read the trolls opinion ofJosh, then you watch this and i wonder what person the trolls see? Kinda solidifies the trolls dont bother to find out anything about thier victims. My only negative on this interview is no mention of the elephant in the room.. the divorce/custody thing. Josh alludes to it but i think that lingers just as heavy as the loss of his friends.
ОтветитьHitler also used speed...
ОтветитьNeal, Josh - I dunno if you’ll read this but I’ve watched/listened to many of the episodes of this podcast with interest and enjoyed them greatly but this episode, man. It really helped me in a way I can’t explain in a measly comment section. As someone who’s dealt with a lot of loss, struggle and just plain stuckness, for lack of a better term, hearing you identify and talk about the process of moving through these things, accepting loss, and transitioning from one phase of life to another, with gratitude and courage is amazing. Thank you both. I’ve been a huge fan of both of you for much of your respective careers and this conversation just heightened my appreciation of you both so much. Inspirational insights for real. Hope you both live very long lives and continue to share your art with us.
ОтветитьNeal deserves so much recognition that he already has. Amazing interview with a great musician
ОтветитьEvery QOTSA album is so well crafted. It’s rare when the person behind the work is super cool. That’s always a relief 😊
ОтветитьListening to this and in times new Roman has helped my soul reach acceptance for my love gone wrong. I love Josh, I’d like to be able to shake his hand one day.
ОтветитьLazarus.
Ressurected.
Was waiting for how long it takes for Josh to drop his 'Gary' bits

The difference between this interview and most other interviews is that Neal actually has his own interesting POV to bring to the table rather than just trying to stroke Josh’s ahem ego the entire time.
ОтветитьJosh Homme, the rock and roll Tom Wamsgans
Ответитьholy shit - had no idea Josh was involved in the bataclan. amazing interview
ОтветитьUnreal! I am embarrassed to say I never paid any attention to QOTS but have been since listening to this interview.
This guy AND Neal together were something I was grateful to hear.
He speaks like a real adult and with reflection and self awareness. Please keep promoting him. And Neal, you are the absolute tits at this type of communication. Very glad you are happy in this medium.
What a great interview. Extremely respectful while still remaining humorous, but not in a way that deflects or hides from the seriousness of raw emotion. They were talking about these things in such an ethereal way that only people who have seen it firsthand and come out the other side can explain. Josh Homme is the best.
Ответитьfunny about meth... i really wanted to make it a part of my life, as a weekend warrior. but then the fucking hallucinations started happening and i will never touch the shit again.
ОтветитьPlease don’t say “you were in bands since you were…. FUCKING A KID”….. I’m not the only one right?
ОтветитьThis feels like it’s not a real life interview cause Josh is talking about the shadow and Carl Jung and making intense connections about suicide and pain and realization. Wonderful interview

Excuse me people, I gonna go and write the next winning oscar movie with this premise.
Two of my favorite people on the planet talking about art and life. Tears in my eyes, I adore you both, Heroes.
ОтветитьNow why would you phrase it "you've been in a band since you were fucking a kid".
ОтветитьSo glad to watch the boy become a wonderful man!! Thanks for the great therapeutic interview!❤
ОтветитьI took me some time to understand why I loved this guy so much, since so long, and while I've never really looked up to him to make choice, I sort of get it now, this guy is litteraly the closest I never felt to anyone ? (and it happened to be a fcking rockstar, yeehoo)
Gosh.
I was not expecting to go to therapy this morning.
ОтветитьMy God I loved this. Two beautiful, honest, vulnerable men ♥️
Ответить"Homme" in French is "man."
ОтветитьI am a massive fan of Josh Homme and couldn't respect him more after this interview. So happy I came across this video and channel. High five Neal!!
