I would recommend just waiting for AE2, since that's obviously going to be the main storage/automation system later on. AE2 is not very deeply gated (like in GTNH). You need to go to the moon, but it's possible to just batch craft till you hit the AE2 milestone.

I played interactions a while ago, logistic pipes was quite laggy but i think it would be way harder to play all the way to ae2 without any auto crafting. Although the transition between them is painful if you don’t use the ae2 bridge mod.

Can't sleep through the dark at all? I like how they made Project Ozone 2 back in the day, with the red blood moons preventing you from sleeping. There was still a chance the odd night that you could sleep if you were lucky!
