Great perspective
ОтветитьGood vid, Ohlins and KYB forks are worth ut.
ОтветитьThe only bike I would rate higher is the XSR900GP but it is the same engine! 😁
ОтветитьI’m 75 and I’m considering the XSR900. I can get one for $10,000 which seems like a bargain after owning BMWs, Ducatis and KTM s for years.
ОтветитьHow would you know ? pottering around does not test a bike!
ОтветитьThanks for the video! I’m wondering what mount you are using for the Insta360 - please can you share?
ОтветитьCar Vertical gets everywhere!
However, when the adverts are done like this I don't mind it quite so much 👍
Always loved Yamaha but the MT range is butt ugly. Was when it was first introduced, and still is.
ОтветитьHow does it compare to your Kawasaki 900 RS ?
ОтветитьGreat bike and now they've sorted the brakes it's even better. This will fly off the forecourts.
ОтветитьThe sound of a triple...👌
Ответитьi watch your reviews to get a honest reviews and size wise i am only 5 foot 5 tall so i am nearish you ,this is probbably the new bike im going to get ,,good on yer
ОтветитьHi Andy I have owned both and the original what a bike unreal does everything and rapid as you like . Track day weapon the original before they sorted the feeling just tried to throw me off on corners kept you sharp. 😀
ОтветитьYour channel is so good that even if I am not interested in the bike you ar reviewing, I watch it anyway. Nice and balanced and you say what needs to be said. You are the GOLD STANDARD for bike reviews !
ОтветитьYamaha are strange. For the base model they offer a choice of three colour schemes. Yet for the premium model they offer zero choice. I thought the world had moved on from the days when Ford 'famously' offered one colour for the Model T but apparently not!
ОтветитьThe bike looks like it been knocked up , with whatever spare parts they found lying about . The exhaust plumbing wouldn’t look out of place in an old still or a chemical works. It’s a no from me .
ОтветитьI've been a long time viewer of this channel. I recently decided to start my 2 wheel adventure. I just bought a 2005 Honda NSS250. It been a blast , I look for chances to get out and ride it all the time.
keep up the great videos.
Great review as always of an excellent bike but sorry, that is one pig-ugly bike.
ОтветитьYet another great review of a more than capable motorbike. As you often say, there are very few 'bad' bikes these days. Absolutely love the blue wheels, I'd say those alone would take your mind off any other doubts of it's looks. Thank you once again Mr Flyer.
ОтветитьI always thought “SP’ is Sport Performance😎🇨🇦…..great vid
ОтветитьWhich bike would you buy between the regular 09, GSXS750 (4cylinder), street Tripple R?
ОтветитьI quite miss the music: 🎼Hey kids it's the Missenden Flyer🎼
ОтветитьSo will we be seeing one in the garage, soon! Good looking bike.
Ответить-get hold of a new 990 duke please
ОтветитьHaving spent money upgrading suspension in the past, I'd hazard a guess that the extra 1700 pounds is worth it.
ОтветитьBig praise coming from someone who rides a lot of different bikes that speaks volumes about the mt 09 sp brilliant summary of a great bike 👍
ОтветитьI've ridden both the 2024 Street Triple RS and the 2023 version of the MT-09, and the MT-09 has noticeably more get-up-and-go. This is likely because of the sizable torque difference. It's possible that the Street would out perform it a little bit better at the upper end of the rev range but in any case, almost all riding includes low, mid, and upper mid range rpms. Therefore, in most situations, the MT-09 would be quicker and faster and would definitely be faster with a passenger or loaded up with more weight, like gear and tank and saddle bags.
ОтветитьThere is one SP for sale in the US right now, impossible to find them, teh regular version is available
ОтветитьSP means Sports Production.
ОтветитьI've had 4 MT-09s (2 Standard, 2 SP) and think they're fantastic bikes. I've not ridden the 2024 version in either form but previous versions of the SP had firmer suspension than the Standard and would be my preference only if I went on Track days. If you don't do those, like me, the Standard is fine but the spanner in the works now is the Brembo brakes which I'm sure are fantastic and could be worth the extra alone.
ОтветитьRuined the bike with keyless ignition and that stupid indicator switch.
I was thinking of getting this next Summer but I think I'll look elsewhere.
So the closest competitor to the targeted performance envelope of the MT09 SP is Triumph’s 765RS, the knock on the Triumph units are the gear ratios are too low overall and more problematic the ratios are very close, and is more an optimization typically chosen to give a power delivery suitable for track use applications rather than what is ideal for use in conventional street riding temperament. Is Yamaha’s gearing choice as “busy” as that of the Triumph 765 machines?
ОтветитьIMHO NO.
They GIMPED the base bike.
I would buy this bike in a heartbeat if it wasn't for insurance rates. I'd be paying half the bikes costs in insurance per year 😭
ОтветитьJust the Ohlin shock will be around £1300 if you bought it yourself.
ОтветитьHi MF
I have the Triumph speed twin like yourself, my Q is, would you swop your Speed twin for the MT09 SP ?
Nice bike TMF , always loved a triple engine myself, I see you enjoyed it there .👍 the 360 cam looks great nice clarity 👍 been back viewing your older clips on the speed twin as ordered one so the 701 is traded in looking for more comfort and distance covering .cheers 😁
ОтветитьGreat review as usual but it looks like a pain to keep clean which I suppose is true for all naked machines. Cheers
Ответить😂 love the mustache and glasses
ОтветитьIf you can do a comparison of this and KTM 990, that would be great. Time to move on from my STR 2013. 😊😊😊
ОтветитьYes
ОтветитьFantastic bike and as always, a great review!
ОтветитьDid you even mention the quick shifter? Maybe I missed it...
ОтветитьHow does if fair against a gsxr 750 want t9 know
ОтветитьIve been riding a 2021 MT 09 for the last 3 years. I zip around town with a smile on my face. It makes my heart rev when I open the throttle. It makes me feel alive. Only request is Id like additional color options as black feels boring sometimes, and turquoise doesn't match my appearance. Anyway, Thanks Yamaha keep it up ❤
ОтветитьWhy doesn't Yamaha take a look at BMW to see how they really build displays?
ОтветитьGreat review, as always. Really enjoy your channel. You clearly enjoyed the performance of the cp3 motor. Looks are, I agree, a bit marmite. Which would you choose between the Mt09 sp or the Ducati monster sp…?
ОтветитьI have a Gen 3 09SP and the CP3, quick shifter and frame is such a great package.
Ответитьchapters dude
ОтветитьGreat review xxx
