I never realized when it first came out, what an amazing and deep song this was (I thought I did but it is even deeper than I thought). And the fact that Billy Idol wrote it (and his other hits like Rebel Yell and Dancing with Myself), I totally took for granted the song writers from the 80s. Idol's album Rebel Yell was sheer genius! This song, based on the movie which I have seen but hadn't in the 80s of "Eyes Without A Face" was also a genius movie, and had so many deep and sad messages about the human condition and mental evolution. Idol really captured that in his lyrics to this song. Such a sad movie, just like the other similar movie by Almodovar, "The Skin I Live In" HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I just thought back in the 80s Idol was just some strung out punk rocker, which he was, but that doesn't mean you can't be a musical genius. Thank you Billy for your talent!
