I need them to show the guy on the left her other albums. It is crazy to think of Billie as only “Bad Guy”, and her production and lyrics have always been strong, I think he might also like her other work.

I can totally relate to Edwin when he was getting emotional. I found her when she had just put out Dont Smile at Me and seeing her development is crazy. When I heard BLUE it brought me back to when I first discovered her because it was one of her unreleased songs that became so famous within her fan base. It also kinda sounds like her EP sound was with the specific stacked vocals. And yes, I agree that Bad Guy, or most of her radio hits, isn't my favorite. They just don't do her or Finneas justice. Keep it up guys :)

Please listen to 20st century blues by Raye, similar amount of artistry and lyricism.

Love the love, BUT talking over the lyrics all the way through, you lost a LOT of feelings and structure of the album. Esp the last song, Not one of you `caught` the genius of it. Shame. In an interview she alludes to the fact in Wildflower she mentioned "girl code" was broken. Im assuming it could be that her now ex boyfriends girlfriend confided in Billie and they became friends. Then Bille went on to date him and she regrets that terribly. She alluded to this but I could be wrong. She said also in the interview that much of it was autobiographical but wants the listener to take it for what they feel it is to them. x

PS: Cooper I recommend watching Billie’s Hot Ones interview, it’s the perfect watch for people less familiar with her personality and don’t want to dig into all the media.

So Cooper, are you going to submit/ commit to the back catalog ? Because Billie will never be an artist who “ reinvents” themselves; because Billie and Finneas are all about evolution. During the writing process they felt a lot of stumbling blocks and felt completely out of sync. They went back to WWAFAWDWG and pulled some of the elements from HTE and made a beautiful masterpiece that exemplifies their growth and EVOLUTION AS PEOPLE AND AS ARTISTS !

I agree with Nadia when she said the beginning of the diner sounded like Melanie Martinez. I said the same thing right when I heard it cause it gives the same vibe as Melanie’s song carousel and just overall circus vibes!

For me, it's actually the first album that I have to listen to in its entirety over and over again, where there isn't a single song on it that I don't like. not even close and I'm 51 years old. I've always loved listening to them, but this is phenomenal

Watching Nadia blush during Lunch made watching this reaction worth it... and yes, you definitely blushed...

I'm pretty sure the violins at the end of Blue are the same during Skinny, and The Greatest! (the same melody) Which makes the album even more coherent. Really, really good album; one of her best to this date for sure :)

I'm a swifty too and think ttpd was a great first listen but i only replay like 6 songs regularly. This album bops front to back over and over again. It's a better album imo, I hope it sweeps.

At the end y'all were talking about how you thought she appealed more to teenage girls and I have to say, I thought the same thing. I have never listened to her albums. And I just so happened to be up the night it dropped and decided to listen. I'm 41 years old and I have to say, this is my favorite album. I related to every song. Album has no skips and is a masterpiece. Her and her brother are the perfect duo. The production makes u feel things throughout your whole body. Like your floating and goosebumps on your face. Just crazy. I have listened to this album everyday for the last 4 months. Definitely AOTY!

It continuously astounds me how underrated Billie is despite the fact that she is not only the most streamed artist on Spotify but also deeply and highly critically acclaimed. And yet. Still so underrated, with so many people thinking she’s some pop teen. Nope. She’s a once in a generation alternative, innovative and creative musician (and director!)
