So much for any ideas of drafting BTJ at 18. Welcome to Cincy, Latham or Fuaga.

Higgins is “B” receiver who isn’t a difference maker. He isn’t worth a 25 million dollar deal.

I’d rather Higgins over Aiyuk both are top 20 WRs imo that should be paid

I feel so bad for Higgins, he's only going to make 22 million next year. That's only 10 times what the average hard-working American will make in their lifetime. Poor guy.

How do you NOT get this Florio? I know, because you’re argument is SOLELY to be RIGHT!
NFL teams are CHEAP, we both know they’re NOT tearing up a year of team control at a lower price!
The only reason they do the contracts how they do is to spread out the money, but they are still factoring that remaining year of the OLD contract into the NEW contract!
It’s kinda like, if you trade in your old Car that you owe more than the car is worth and you roll the difference of what you still owed on the old car, minus the trade value into the loan for the new car.
The way you’re arguing this is like saying the person overpaid for the new car…period.
When in reality, you moved old debt to a new asset, plus whatever you underpaid or overpaid for the new car, one has absolutely nothing to do with the other, you have to remove that debt transfer from what you owe on the new car to properly assess what you paid for it and the value you got.
To connect this analogy back to the discussion at hand, you HAVE to remove the previous year(s) and amount owed from the New deal to assess what the player is being paid on the new deal.
You’re insisting the person overpaid $5,000 for their new car and they’re trying to tell you they didn’t, they rolled $5,000 of old debt into the new car and you’re saying Fu©️k you, they took your old car and you overpaid for the new car, because they paid off and tore up that old debt, like the dealership would ever pay off old debt without factoring it in to the new car purchase, so you keep insisting they paid too much and got ripped off, even though that’s not an option and is specifically part of the new deal!

About time someone with sense finally called out the agent shenanigans! I'm so tired of people trying to trash the Bengals for 'not wanting to or can't pay' Tee when that is not remotely the case. His agent is trying to put us in a strangle hold and no disrespect to Tee in any way but he over the next 2 will get guaranteed 47 mil that's 23.5 which is phenomenal because as stated the market is closer to 21-22. We would've been had a deal if he wasn't being fed he has to have 25-27 smh.

When he got tagged it was pretty clear he isn’t going anywhere. The bengals will end up following in the footsteps of the Bills if they can’t win it soon.

They’re going to have to trade him … no way you’re paying two receivers over 20 mil who have never led your team to a SB win .. period end of story

Higgins need to get traded because i do believe he is a borderline WR1 in the NFL.

I believe Giants, Panthers, Washington, Lions, Miami, or Bills should look into trading for him

Id like to think that if cincy didnt have to draft joey B first, they woulda picked Tee Higgins instead..

I hope Tee pops off this year and has a hell of a season!

Bengals front office is a JOKE! Could’ve gotten a 1st plus for Higgins last year after Burrow went down. Instead they were stubborn and will lose him for NOTHING next season. Idiots!!

I am pretty sure he is making more money in 1 year than he has his whole NFL career (4 years), with a chance to ball out and earn an even bigger contract next year when the salary cap increases again. Tee has never made a fuss about it. All you see are reports and pestering journalists

The Calvin Ridley signing is fucking nuts. He is 29 and was signed to a 4 year deal. 29 years old!! And they have no idea if this guy is going to take off half a year again for his mental health. Or whether he is still betting on games. That was a dangerous contract. All the Titans had to do was give the Be gals a 2nd round pick and they could have gotten Tee Higgins.

Oh FFS, he's making over $20 million dollars for ONE season, let's not pretend like that isn't more money than 99% of the working population make, many in a lifetime!!! There's a crap ton of WR's coming out in the draft every year, it's like shooting fish in a barrel so don't pretend they're all special and deserving of multitudes of millions of dollars when every team has a next man up mentality!

You're definitely not going to pay someone more money just because he was drafted earlier in the draft, 5 years ago. Tee's stats would be even better if he hadn't been the #2 receiver, behind Ja'marr Chase.
