How does the phone connect if your pc doesn’t have Bluetooth?

I have a Motorola(Lenovo) smartphone, and I use the Smart Connect app to transfer files across my PC and phone. And yes, I would love to see a native Windows solution like this to success.

The option "Show mobile device in file Explorer" is NOT showing.
Only 2 options.

Phone storage doesn't show even after the syncing is done, does it only work on laptops or with a wifi connection, not ethernet?

Windows 10 with Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S10, it links but would not show in Windows file explorer. Tested on 3 PCs
