well as a lithuaniain i can tell you that we are the only ones who are absolutlely not buying and gas from russia we built our see gas terminal and importing gas for a long time now

I never understood why people always say, 'You can't invade Russia, you can't invade Russia' and pretend like Russia is some big baddie. Russia is actually very easy to invade, the poor thing is defenseless. That's why it's been successfully invaded countless times, by the Mongols, the Ottomans, the Polish, the Swedish, the Japanese, and the Germans (WWI).

well done, but i would mention that territory provides not only mineral resources - sibirean plain was the biggest european source of fur long before oil exports and it played somewhat similar role in politics and economy of Russia
